If we're going to greenwich why don't we go to The Union? Meantime have just started making they're own stout. Mmmmmmm.

Is that the place next to Richard III? It looks like a dump!
This Friday or next Friday (8th or 14th) and I'm in; but this Friday might be too short notice for some, but at lease we're fairly sure that it's going to be dry and warm.

We'd suggested the 29th/30th so can we stick to that. Tommy's route idea looks good. I vote he is in charge.
By the way I saw you (Tommy) cycle past my shop (Holborn Viaduct) a couple of days ago. -

Samuel Smith = £1.78 a pint! ;-)
When was the last time you paid that for a beer?
They keep set prices across the country.I'm away last week of September :-(
...with the bike though at least. -

By the way I saw you (Tommy) cycle past my shop (Holborn Viaduct) a couple of days ago.I cycle along there most days. I always saw a brown lancaster locked up there (pre being stolen), I woundered if that was yours.
I vote for the end of the month as well. I think we need some one to add in some more to the route, west and central. I am not too good out west so you central people and west Londoners chim in.

finally got my old man's old Raleigh on the road but it's kept out the back now. Still waiting for some nice miche cranks though. I'll have a think about some extra central/westageness. At least you and I will be there.

Sam smiths is £1.99 a pint now :( but still :)
stompy, yup it's the place on royal hill. certainly nt the best decor, but go there and say "eh, there's no normal beers here! what's all this you've got on tap?" the manager will then happily whisk out a taster tray of all the beers for you to try.
-

what?
When did the price go up- it was the only pub in oxford i could afford on a daily basis.
And it had good beer. -
• #38
I hope the taster glasses are all pints.. :)

Beer is still good at sam's, it was £1.97 a pint until new year, then it went up to £1.99. Outrage I tell thee. Could just be cause of London being more expensive than anywhere else.

I'm so rich, sometimes I even throw in the extra 1p as a tip.. wouldn't want it slowing me down on London's cols now would we?

Speaking of beer, I had a couple of Greenwich Mean Time beers in the pub next to Greenwich Picturehouse. Quite nice. Mrs Stompy didn't like hers much so I had to finish it for her ;-(

Hey Tommy why don't you pick a start point over East involving some pubage. That'd probably get some people interested. Then we can do your part of the route and then move West? Then we can have a start point and time, say 9pm?

Ok I guess this is being forgotten about but I'd still really like to do it and as I'm on holiday for 2 weeks someone needs to post on here or it'll disapear.

Yeah ok sorry Matt I have just been really bussy did not see your post until now.
O.K how about start in a pub in Greenwhich (Stompy and others any ideas I don't head out in Greenwhich very often).
Head to Woolwhich through the tunnel do the docks part of the route and head in central / West with people to add in idea into the route. Come on people add to the route http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=1250983 take i to out west PhotoBen had some idea about a route from st katherines dock to Narrow street, add it in Ben more people add it in take it through central and out west, add in bits of the bridges ride if you want. Help me out here I don't know any good west / central London routes.
I concur, the stout is loverly.
