  • looks pretty cool i must say :D

  • Ta,

    It's a grey-glitter powdercoat.

  • This is/was an 07.

why is the back wheel glowing?? lol

  • i don't like how the seat tube angle gets slacker with the increase in size of the track 08 (i think).

the small ones have a nice tight seat tube ang;e then the big one have a slack one but a tighter head angle. tight all round for all heights would be nicer.

  • This is a 61cm not a track, but I think the geometry is similar?

  • why is the back wheel glowing?? lol

Reflective strip on the rear tyre + camera flash.

  • This is a 61cm not a track, but I think the geometry is similar?

Correct. That too is a track bike.

    :P

  • what was the frame like underneath? hmm.

  • MTB riser bars, new grips, new pedals, cages and straps, new chain, new sprocket, new rear wheel (when I'd trashed the stock one) new saddle, spahettihoops dangler and hipster framepad.

what rims are you running on the back?
    velocity deep V?

  • it does look very nice stripped actually, not exactly pretty, but looks cool

He's left the sticker on there as a clue for you. :)

  • i couldn't read it. :(
    thats why i asked...

  • 1st stage upgrades:
    38cm drop bars
    vai stem
    White Vittoria Rubino Pro Tyres
    Shimano Ultegra Brakes
    BBB Anatomic Saddle
Electrical Taped Top Tube (to see what its like in black before powder coating...)

rest is stock. no money left.

I'm pretty sure I saw that at UCL this morning?

  • lol. yup. u must be a bartlett boy too.
Still fuct from vandalism. Awaiting insurance... (and post hand-in spare time)
    what unit are u in?

  • gucci why the angled seat and bars? Is that better for climbing?

  • Ive got a track with the original pedals and they have put perfectly straight holes in the bottom of my shoes where the back of the pedal is, is this problem common or do all toe clips do this?

  • That's pretty weird.
I too the original 15t off mu Fuji using 3/32 cheapo chain whip and it wasn't a struggle at all.

Your fuji came with a 3/32 cog on it?

  • dunno but if you want some replacements gimme a PM and you can pick em up for free...

  • According to my ruler the track ends are 8mm thick.

    What options do I have?

  • MKS make an 8mm I believe. Theres a hex bolt version too which looks nice and clean.

  • You has link?

  • You can haz tugz!

    http://www.hubjub.co.uk/mks/mks.htm

Actually looks like the hex ones are for 5mm on that site.

Also they are bloody 24 nuggets!

  • I've got some 5mm MKS allen tugs if that's what you need. £20 posted. Brand new.

  • I'd need to grind 3mm of each dropout, so I'll pass thanks Rusty.

The MKS ones on HubJub look like they will do the job, however are there any options which are slightly nicer looking, and/or cheaper?

  • What about the Surly ones. As far as I know it doesnt matter what size your ends are (dont quote me on this)

I think they are a bit ugly though.
