Nothing worse than living near Highbury or shopping at ASDA.

Well Manchester's right next to the Man City ground.. I've never been down there at match-times tho so can't tell if it's a problem
-

RPM, should be ok to ride there. You ought to be ok if you get a personal space for the van as well.
-
• #205
Bit far to ride at the moment but I may move closer . Man city does cause parking trouble at manc but it's a much quieter area and a bigger space

Stab proof vest is what you need instead of worrying about the hooligans.

The Velopark and the Stadium are about 1000m apart. I imagine that you'll enter the Velopark from the North and the Stadium from the south of the olympic park.

With all this stuff in the news about the athletics stadium being turned into west ham or tottenham or whatever I just thought, won't that make the whole park (including the cycling facilites) a no-go area on match days? fuck having to wade through hordes of football wankers just to get on the track. Not to mention the old "travel chaos"
I think this idea sucks. It would probably make it a no go area for an hour before and an hour after each game due to traffic.

Home fans should walk to the stadium, away fans arrive in a bus. It's that fucking simple, that's how it's meant to be.

Hope they're putting enough racks round the stadium

Walk? It's going to be a bit of a hike for them.

Not local then is it.

There are no local West Ham supporters, no.

Just had someone call me to offer me a package for the Olympic sprint final. 10 places plus food and drink. £49,000 plus 24% service charge or £6,100 a head.
I said no thank you.
-
• #215
I'm disappoint. I though you got the package deal and want us to tag along.

I should hope it was a slightly stronger wording than that..

anyone have any idea how much tickets will end up being for the Olympic events at the velodrome? Just read something saying they might be up £325 for the finals. Gash
-
• #218
there was a price list somewhere available but can't remember where exactly (an official ticketing interest website if you want to google). Obviously the finals are expensive but the prelims of most things are reasonable from what I remember.
-
• #219
What irritated me somewhat was that the person who called me said that these tickets had been bought in 2008. How is that possible?
-
• #220
It's not possible. They're talking trash, it sounds like a scam. If they call back, say you'll only believe them if Lord Coe and Chris Hoy both get on the phone then and there to speak to you.

Edscoble should be able to cover that for a forum 'select' night

High class ticket tout. I hate touts. They really are the cum of the earth. I mean, at least Black Cabs provide a service.
Anyway. Maybe volunteering is the way forward.

• #223
Too late, the registration date for volunteering has passed.
