Lights I assume are mandatory? will anyone laugh if I wear a helmet and maybe stop at a red-light or 2 just for old times sake?

I thought the same thing when I went to the last bridges ride, and was pleasantly surprised. Nobody cares. This is just a night ride across town in the company of people of love to ride their bikes.

Rule #1 - There are not rules.
Rule #2 - No outside food.

And lights are a good idea for the off road bit.

as far as cars go there isnt that many at all after the first hour or so, red lights isnt an issue

Kipsy, quite a few of us will be heading Westwards afterward. I will be going back to Kew Bridge by whatever road gets me there the fastest. Probably South Circular for most of it.
