It'd be better with white bar tape but I can't be arsed to keep changing it when it get grubby, black's a bit more practical...

Me and Road Bike at the top of a bastard of a hill in Wales...
Is that the bastard hill between Bala and Lake Vyrnwy?
-
• #9605
That's the one, ridden from the Dinas side it's the most brutal hill I've forced myself over; if/when I go back I'm putting on a compact or a 27. It didn't seem so bad from Bala or Vyrnwy.

Ha ha, recognised it from the Wild Wales Challenge. Did it both ways on the 2005 version with about 60 miles inbetween.

I used to go camping in Dinas with my family as a kid and thought I'd go back last September to explore the hills. Daft idea...

Bastard Hill is the Bwlch y Groes. Did that on a 39x23 once. Ouch.
That Colnago is lovely, even with the ahead stem.

^^ That's an achievement, it was a serious struggle in 39/25, I had to zig-zag up the second 20% pitch to get up without getting off.

Lol, Gem, that's my home territory right there in that picture, glad you liked it, beautiful place it is, and talking about hills, it's quite fun riding all around there, definitely need your gears, but the descents are so much fun also.
If you went past Llyn Celyn, it was mostly owned by my family, before it was flooded.

nice master, it looks veeeeery similar to a colleagues master, but he opted for a quill stem, and has more red. bmx looks pretty good too

Thanks, I think the Del Tongo era Giuseppe Saronni has been an influence on a few.
I used to spend school holidays camping at the foot of Bwlch Y Groes & I remember taking walks up to the site of the plane crash, truly a wonderful part of the world...

The famous cruiser:
Think I just saw this on Northfields Avenue today (attached) when i went out for a custard slice from T Parker (not attached as they had run out ). Looks pretty similar except the one i saw today had a horn and cupholder - is it yours MMcarthy? I'm guessing your shot was taken in Lammas Park.

Haha that's his! He lives right there at Papaya. Handle bars are too big to bring up and down the flat everday so he locks it up :p

• #9619
Haha yep that's mine, kinda forgot to bring it in last night >< And yes that shot was taken in Lammas Park!
By the way you should definitely come along to West drinks at some point, i'm guessing you're based in Hanwell/Boston Manor?
