  • Are you talking about Brian's trispoke ?
Mine is very sketchy on blustery days, that's why I had a normal spoked wheel (DTSwiss Mon Chasseral) on when I bumped into you in Old Street - I check the BBC weather website and if the the wind speeds are over 10mph it's no go for the space wheel. Not noticed any problems with being passed by trucks/busses.

No, the rear disc.. it is a rear disc yeah? I'm not going blind??

  • oi, fat boy that's brianwans

  • No, the rear disc.. it is a rear disc yeah? I'm not going blind??

I imagine the back is less of a problem in that it is weighted much much more by your body and the rear getting pushed around effects your steering much less than the front.

Just a guess though, no personal experience of a rear disc.

  • I fancy its chances against a racehorse, truth be told I've worn heavier coats than this bike and it is sehr schnell. It is indeed the blue blooded slave master bicyclette of old London Town.

The 650c white Arrospok is too rare to mention, fluro pink rolls saddle is a bugger to come by, I found it on the bay after waiting three months for Velocity to make me a 650c deep V which they kindly let me cancel free of charge when this popped up. Even the Seat post diameter was hard to find, pink track pedals, with white leather toe strap covers, it goes on and on. It sucked me in what can I say, Bitten by the bug. If anyone wants to mate their old mare, she'll be put out to Stud one day soon I'm sure.

On a build note, I didn't want to be licking the front wheel, so althought the aesthetics of the lo-pro had stolen my heart by fitting a high nitto technomic stem the saddle to handlebar reach is really the same as a normal ride.

I didn't spot it was a 650c ! Never seen an Arrospok in 650c, let alone a white one.

  • According to Wikipedia, he's in jail, able to apply for parole in 2009, after beating up/knocking unconscious his ex-wife's friend, then raping her repeatedly and leaving her to die... Not nice... :(

He went completely crazy apparently... couldn't cope with the huge fame and all that. If i recall it correctly he killed that girl with a golf club and dumped her in a desert.
Somebody was working on a documentary about him some years ago (probably just to jump on the whole dogtown-crapola-documentary-bandwagon) but I don't know if and how widely it was released, and to be honest I don't care as I am not much in favor of turning psychopaths and criminals into heroes...

  • Finally worked out how to use photobucket and thought id say hello ! I keep seeing people alll over the shop and wanting to ask them if they on the forum - especially at old street roundabout . what a scene !

My bikey is not quite finished but not far off .

Its called STOKED: the rise and fall of Gator, its a great film, saw it at the Duke of York in Brighton about 4 years ago when it came out amazing skateboarder.

  • Old St. roundabout is its own little microhabitat of fixed wheel culture.. or something.

  • Not to mention the Hipster Highway/Fixed Gear Freeway that is Clerkenwell/Theobalds Road.

  • I think the Gator Docu came out before the Dogtown one.

  • It make sense the amount of ex-skaters on here though.
Fixed Gear bikes being just skateboards for people who need to get places.

  • i have used the disc once on the road, doesn't seem to be a problem to me

  • how do you lock it up though?

  • mackenzie is pretty.
