• Nah, lpg, my bike's red(-ish). They go faster, don't you know? :-) I should really post a photo of it... Anyway, I had a look at the bracket and there's no screw to be seen. I'll have to put up with the noise. How many months till British Summer Time?

Vinz, I was only asking cos I thought the unidentified object on the seat post might have been an elaborate bracket for a normal light, rather than a backup device. Black plastic looks horrible on shiny metal seat posts and handlebars. The cash would fly out of my wallet for a white bracket. I need help...

• rattel can it white.

• Yeah, I'd thought of that. Maybe I will. Maybe it would just be something else to touch up.

• if you use a lose spray, and keep the coats thin you should be fine for not messing the bracket up, i would totally take it apart and spray every thing non-threaded, then let it dry and put it back. get something weather resistant, and that wont eat the plastic of the bracket.

• Don't listen to PJ... ;)

As eloquent as he is in his scorn, the Knog Frog is a fine little light, perfect to sling in a bag as a back up or 'to be seen light.' If they're not bright enough, they do a five led version (called the 'Toad'?) that is bright as all hell and still doesn't need any of those fucking horrible plastic mounts.

Check out http://www.Wiggle.co.uk/Knog for some super cheap prices...

• i like my frogs for in the city, or town or what ever, where you can see any way and all you need is to be seen, and keep the 6 up off your back.

• asm You found your budgie abandoned in the street? Does it always live on your head or does it have a cage?

The budgie was found in the street as it happens. It does have a cage usually but for this pic I stapled it to my head - won't catch me wearing one of those dodgy Alice band things! ;-)

• hi guys finally got round to getting a pic of me an the bike so here goes
me
and the bike

• ahhh loser!
the images are tiny anyway....did you click on the thumb nail or the actual images?

• shhh

• er, i understand the knog thing, you need to be seen, blah de blah.

i have these cateye thingys,

they wrap around the bar and don't need no bracket. get two, wrap around the vertical bit of the drops and your bike is like one of them spaceships from batteries not included.

• maybe it was other birds?.....possibly.

• or maybe it was the man and his wife making the noises in your ear when you were asleep......they each had an ear.

• scott dun got broked
wolflore
asm You found your budgie abandoned in the street? Does it always live on your head or does it have a cage?

On the subject of budgies...i was woken up by loud chirping of budgies or parakeets whilst sleeping at my mates at the weekend....it went on for a couple of minutes, and i assumed his neighbour must have them as pets.
The next morning i ask my mate if his neighbour has birds as pets....he says...his neighbours husband used to have an aviery full of them...but when he died, his wife 'got rid' of all the birds and now it was just an empty aviery....
SPOOKY!!!
Spirits of the budgies?
