There's no shame in walking up Ditchling.. I've done it myself :S
The views around there are indeed spectacular

I'll try it again soon with the Concorde, gears ftw! It is too pretty a ride to let a few small humps get in the way. A small 'detour' meant we had done over 60 miles before even getting to Bitchling and running 73" fixed had torn up my knees by that point. Oh well, another lesson learnt...

Are those the Halo Courier Berlin tyres?
If they are, its whats on both of my bikes, and I never, ever puncture anymore. Sound choice if they are.

I just went for the standard twin rails actually, may try the berlins out if these aren't too good. Everyone's been telling me I need super slick road race tyres, but I'm not feeling them tbh, not sure which would hold up to skidding, and be as cheap as the Halos!

Face... and body:What I don't get is you splashing £600/700 on a frame, but then your choice of wheels/tires.?
But then again, it's all horses for courses, amirite? -

But then again, it's all horses for courses, amirite?I've had the Halo track hubs before, and know how sweet the bearings are on them, so I was always planning on getting them. And tbh this build was going to be built onto a Tifosi Pista, but I changed my mind & got a much nicer frame. I knew some of the parts weren't going to do the frame justice, but I may just upgrade some bits when I have some spare money.

Of course man, in the end of the day you're riding what you like without compromising.
I'm just of the opinion that money should go on the drivetrain/wheels rather than anything else, as a priority. Having said that, I'm a fucking princess with my frames, so who cares what I think ; ) -

Well I've wanted the cranks for years now, and the frame too, but after spending the money on those too, not too much left to buy ultimately pimp components, but I'm happy with it, nice & light & fast, just what I wanted!

Feel free to hate on the tyres, everyone else has!Bike looks sweet, think the yellow wheels look badass. Not heard great things about the wear of the tyres so i went for randos, but have an aerorage on the back of my bike and think it looks great and is good value. I've tried out stair jumping on it too and its still straight, (only 4 steps but I'm pretty heavy)
Yep, that's Ditchling. I wish I could say I made it up and over but there was some walking involved. I blame the ratio, sore knees, lack of preparation and sausages.
I'm sure I'll be back down there before too long, it's a beautiful area to ride in.
