£7 for Special Delivery, "Estimated within 11 working days". Money well spent for whoever pays that.

That black scraped on the corner B17 looks like the one I sold last month on eBay.

If you wanted to be a real good egg, you could ask the guy who bought it if it's been stolen since, and show him the listing.
-
• #355
His answer to 'Do you sell anything that isn't stolen' is:
hi i do not sell stolen item if thay was stolen, i would not have recipt for them so get your fax right as you could get someone it trouble saying them thing muppet
So, ask to see his recipt.

I asked if you could pick up and he said:
hi sorry no pick up as no one around
No-one will be around. Anywhere. Ever.

While the cops might not be able to do anything straight away, always think it's good to send them any stuff for their intelligence. Often helps them plan what operations to do and helps with building cases in case anybody is ever nicked.
Drop a quick email to .
Cheers Winter, I have sent them an email with all the information I have, will let people know what comes of it, if anything.

I bought a new chain from an ebay seller, supposed to be a Yaban s50 which looks like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/260993931139?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1102wt_689Obviously I was surprised at the price. With good reason too as they have sent me some cheapo clunky OC chain instead. (the same as one I snapped on my works cheap oem dutch town bike). Have tried to resolve it with the seller and he says that due to financial constraints, the factory are not stamping some of their parts! WAC.
What should I do? Apart from go to Wigan and stick the chain up his arse myself..

Just file an eBay/Paypal dispute, it's very simple and they usually favour the buyer.
-
• #361
Done that, but I don't want to be out of pocket for postage and I want the right chain, he's adamant that it's a ybn one but it's blaitantly not. I really don't understand why he is trying to bullshit me either..
-
• #362
I can't see why you're trying to bring me in to this.
-
• #363
On the other hand, how wide is the chain?
-
• #364
Ok, I'm thick! I've tried embedding photo's in a listing but it never seems to work. Can someone explain please :)
Can a listing be previewed so I can see they are embedded before making the listing live?
I'm looking to do something like this:

Can I still open a non paying buyer dispute if I do a second chance offer?
Sold some cranks, buyer emailed me a few hours after the auction finished to say his account had automatically bid on them and he couldn't buy them, I replied telling him what a twunt he is (in nicer words) and that I'd be doing an unpaid item thing. No reply from him and I need to wait till 21st to open the dispute but can I in the mean time, do a second chance offer to one of the other bidders?
-
• #367
It's 3/32
-
• #368
Ah, I don't get in to bed for less than 1/8th.
-
• #369
it's a cheap chain
-
• #370
If he's adamant. ridicule is nothing to be scared of.
-
• #371
it's a cheap chain
It's from Wigan
-
• #372
it's a cheap chain
But he has sent me an even cheaper one!

Brooks thief back with another bunch....
The killer is, he makes good money out of this with pretty much no risk of any repercussions.
WAC!

Brooks thief back with another bunch....
I remember this one.
The previous sales are mostly private but the feedback shows he's been selling a lot of saddles!

Had a bit of a weird conversation with somebody selling a "A VINTAGE REYNOLDS 531 RACING BYKE IN USED CONDITION,FOR RESTORATION,RUNS" which is "MADE MOSTLY OF METAL". Was really interested in it, so asked what the seat-tube measurement was, and included a diagram showing how to do this as the seller mentioned they didn't know anything about bikes.
We then had this conversation:
Seller: "HI,IT IS 10" FULL LENGHT BY 6" WIDE AT BACK NARROW PART IS 6" LONG,IT HAS A FAINT NAME AT BACK OF SEAT,BYE"
Me: "Sorry, I don't understand what you mean. The image I sent shows how to measure the frame. It must be more than 10" as even a toddler's bike would be larger than that."
Seller: "hi,i did not understand you earlier but i do not need your hassle,or attitude.bye"
Me: "Hah, that's hilarious! All I'm asking you is what size the bike is, which is really the most important bit of information."
Seller: "you see what i mean,attitude problem,bye"
Ok, so I probably should have just left it there, but...
Me: "The only person with an attitude here is you. Not entirely sure how you can expect to sell things but then get annoyed when people ask you questions about the items. From your own feedback people have said: "Bad attitude & complete idiot from first contact." and "Total clown.". Maybe you do need to just calm down and realise that it's probably your interpretation rather than people actually giving you attitude."
Seller: "when you have as much feedback as me, you will be an expert and the other person who said same as you might be related both of you with same problem, bye "
Me: "Still going, huh? Maybe the 'same problem' we have is...in fact...you! All you've managed to do is put me off bidding on your item, which I'm not entirely shows an expert level of anything."
Ok, so I should have just left it (arguing on the Internet and all) but was quite strange...
Check out the weird 'single-speed conversion' it appears to have too!
