First story here will tell you everything about tennis; you can go two years in tennis without an OOC test and then hide from an offical turning up to do a test and not get sanctioned.
When they do test in competition it's usually the loser who gets tested so Roger Federer won 6 tournaments in a row and never got tested once.
Dr Del Moral who is named in the USADA charges as an LA co-defendant has been serving as a doctor at the TenisVal Tennis Academy since at least 2006. Players (aside from Safina and Errani) to have used the academy include: David Ferrer, Igor Andreev, María Kirilenko, Anabel Medina, and Marat Safin.

Because he's innocent
Someone should tell USADA, I bet they don't know yet.

In other "you couldn't make it up" connections, his agent Bill Stapleton actually wrote most of the code whilst working for US Olympics that LA is now saying is unconstitutional and he shouldn't have signed it on 7 separate occassions.

Judge dismisses the LA/USADA lawsuit before anyone else actually even managed to read it.

His case to block the USADA procedure has apparently already been dismissed, but he can refile it...
80 pages long the letter to the judge was. He doesn't like concise prose does he.

Maybe Lance didn't read the small print every time he signed an entry form; I doubt that UCI race entries are any less explicit than my CTT ones:
I understand that the event will be held under the Rules and Regulations of Cycling Time Trials as shown in the current Handbook and I confirm that I am conversant with such Rules and Regulations and undertake to abide by them...I agree to accept the decision of the promoter in all the matters concerning the event and my participation in it subject to such rights of appeal or review as may be provided for in the Rules and Regulations of Cycling Time Trials.
No recourse to law is available, if you enter you place yourself under the exclusive jurisdiction of the sports governing body. We all know this, I wonder why Lance with his fancy lawyers can't get his head around it. I think the clue is right there; at this point his advisers have stopped acting in his interest and are just doing anything they can to rack up fees before the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.
Fabiani is probably even making money on the photocopying at this point
Armstrong’s lawyer Mark Fabiani provided BikeRadar with the [80 page] motion for temporary restraining order as well as two related documents, a 111-page final complaint and a 57-page final brief.

Ha, the judge basically told him to fuck off.
"This Court is not inclined to indulge Armstrong's desire for publicity, self-aggrandizement or vilification of Defendants, by sifting through eighty mostly unnecessary pages in search of the few kernels of factual material relevant to his claims."
The Court claimed that the lawsuit filed earlier in the day contained "allegations" which were separate to the case and therefore "the Court must presume, were included solely to increase media coverage of this case, and to incite public opinion against Defendants."
A footnote on the documents states the following:
"Contrary to Armstrong's apparent belief, pleadings filed in the United States District Courts are not press releases, internet blogs, or pieces of investigative journalism. All parties, and their lawyers, are expected to comply with the rules of this Court, and face potential sanctions if they do not."

USADA have announced lifetime bans for Pepe Marti, Dr Michele Ferrari and Dr Luis Garcia del Moral.
The other three defendents, Lance Armstrong, Johan Bruyneel and Dr Pedro Celeya have either requested more time to respond or arbitration hearings.

If tennis journalists were as questioning as cycling journalists then lots of tennis players would be shitting it right now that Del Moral is banned from all sports under WADA

For somebody with so much legal advice, it's surprising that he can't use precise language. It bears repeating as often as Lance says
"I'm the most tested athlete in history"
that what he actually means is
"I'm the second most tested athlete in American cycling with the surname Armstrong in history"
You can see why he'd assume that we'd all take the bold parts as read, since the two statements means exactly the same don't they? Including the full text every time he issues a statement is just too verbose, and we know how keen his lawyers are to be concise. -

Exactly - it is only dirty cheating cyclists who cheat.
On the subject of Spanish sporting superiority - I thought Oscar Pereiro was going to spill the beans. What happened to that?
The volume of testing in football is the issue. In the PL a player is far more likely to not be tested over the course of season than to be tested.
