^^^ As soon as this Olympics thing is over Geraint Thomas can get back on to being ace on the road again.

On a point of information, neither Sky nor Murdoch nor News International own the cycling team. Sky sponsor them and British Cycling. If Sky left as sponsor there would be others willing to buy into the success. Just yesterday Branson tried to jump on the band wagon by saying he would love to sponsor them. Having won, the team are worthy a massive amount in sponship. Money begets money.

Which company own the team? Or is it owned by British Cycling?
Who owns Team Sky?Team Sky is owned by a company called Tour Racing Limited, which holds the team's UCI ProTour licence. TRL is a holding company owned by BSkyB and on the board of TRL are two senior Sky executives and Ian Drake and Brian Cookson, the chief executive and president of British Cycling. There is a service-level agreement between Tour Racing Limited and British Cycling that means Team Sky can purchase services from the national federation.

To understand the delicate relationship, it's important to understand that Team Sky is owned by a company called Tour Racing Limited, which holds the team's UCI ProTour licence. TRL is a holding company owned by BSkyB and on the board of TRL are two senior Sky executives and Ian Drake and Brian Cookson, the chief executive and president of British Cycling. So Clive is wrong?

Did miss Geraint being there, and he said in his blog he misses it too, but reckons he has a lot of tours left in him. I also read Brailsford saying that he wants to do better in the Classics, could Geraint be the one to do that?

He's a Rouler. I'd have thought he and Edvald would be obvious choices, maybe Rogers too?
Spread the wins Sky... FTW.

Listening to Brailsford talk the Deathstar is about right: all three GTs ina season, multiple TdF wins, dominate the classics
He talks about Sky being the greatest professional **sports **team of all time, not just cycling. I think he's been on La Bomba

So Clive is wrong?
Clive is never wrong, it's his job to see that he is either 100% correct or has a logical and genteel escape in the face of a counter claim.

What happened in '89 Bill? I was 7 and didn't have a telly. Some wall fell over... the rest is a blur.
Have Zabel and Kelly won Green in the same year as their team mates wore yellow?
Wouldn't Cav have to go into some breakaways for that to ever happen for him? He's a pure sprinter so a bit er... high maintenance within a team compared to Sagan (for instance)?
Zabel, who was on Telekom for all of his 6 points wins, complained every year that he wasn't looked after, as the team was more interested in supporting Riis, Ulrich, Andreas Klöden etc
Kelly was riding for PDM in 1989, who had realistic GC ambitions in Rooks (2nd in 1988), and the eventual KoM in Theunisse. He wound up winning the points & intermediate sprints jersey (red, now discontinued), and was holding the Combine jersey (also now discontinued) until PDM decided that it was better to let Rooks have it. He had little team help, apart from Martin Earley.

Bit dismissive of 'G'
He won junior Paris-Roubaix, and has shown ability in other classics. He could go on to do very well on the cobbles.

Kelly also finished 9th on GC, which was the 4th best of the PDM team.

Yeah, how they failed to win that Tour is beyond me. They got their tactics wildly wrong, and ended up riding for Lemond behind Fignon, which was... silly, really. Mind you, the tactics of that Tour were thrown out of kilter by Delgado surrendering 2 and a half minutes before he'd even gone down the start ramp of the prologu.
