  • Unlikely to happen unless there's some kind of catastrophe.

  • fingers crossed

  • Are you a carpet fitter?

  • Has anyone see Didi the devil this year? I can't recall seeing him yet?

  • His Wiggle sponsorship deal means that he's not allowed to spectate any more...

  • He's having a year off. Get the Wiggle newsletter for your dose of Didi

  • They look tidy. Still I would never wear Sky sponsored team clothing for the following reasons;
a/ Wearing Team kit for a team you're not in = wanker
    b/ James Murdoch = wanker

I've got a weakness for Liquigas coloured 'dales developing...

I agree in principal but the black and blue colour scheme looks ace, particularly the thick stripe down the back, and the boss addidas tri-stripe

    Call it a guilty pleasure.

Plus by the looks of it the price is likely to be eye-watering. I'd be saving money by buying Rapha

Your five posts on here have really improved the level of debate. Perhaps Bike Radar might be a more suitable place for you?

Have you thought of joining CS Grupetto?

***boycott sky / news corp ***

  • Didi has been ill / had an operation. There have been some tributes / copycats around.

Some of the Sky kit looks great - but it's still paying money to an organised crime empire. Think of the money you hand over being used to bribe cops, tap phones, steal other sports, kidnap Alan Partridge etcetc

  • Do the replica kit sales go to the sponsor or to the team that is sponsored?

In football, certainly, the clubs benefit (the benefit to the sponsor is having its logo all over the place). Is this different in cycling?

  • bespoke cycling kit ftw... we are a squad of 8 riders conquering the fizzy stuff in october..

before you ask.. those are brass tacks across the aqua field

  • Bit OT:

Does anyone elses other half ask questions about the TDF as they sit down to watch the 7pm highlights?? I tell seem to tell her the same things every night. I don't know if she subconsciously chooses not to listen or what. Its really annoying now. Bless her.

  • School boy error there Sparkes.

Ironically you were probably eyeing up bikes/parts on line when you just nodded and agreed with her (we've all done it!)

Driving to Cornwall during school hols should only be done at 3am. You'll fly down in without jams and have plenty of time to settle in at the pub.

Just ensure you blast the horn when passing any parked caravans.

  • I think that they just want to sound interested.

  • Or shake the caravans. Their inhabitants will be more concerned that the chemical toilet will explode instead of worrying about a potential earthquake.

  • Do the replica kit sales go to the sponsor or to the team that is sponsored?

Good point, no idea. But still wouldn't be prepared to advertise Murdoch by wearing the kit. Mind you, with my standard of cycle skills, I'd probably do Sky's image more harm than good.

  • The money would go to the team. However original manufacturers (for many teams) sell it to any retailer, anyone can copy it, and anyone can have it made elsewhere by anyone.

  • Reports of oil being spilled on one of today's descents

    Are you a carpet fitter?

    It's obvious - he's a tacks inspector.

  • Stage under way. Wiggins has a wheel change due to puncture...

  • Very tempted to catch a train to France to watch the last stage then try to cycle back. Like most things this is a last minute idea.

If you do, there will be quite a few forum people in Paris for the Polo Euros, on Friday and Saturday, and a lot of us will be going to watch the tour on Sunday.

  • Has anyone see Didi the devil this year? I can't recall seeing him yet?

He was in hospital for something. They told him to take it easy. He went to another tour instead. That's what the commentators were saying at the start of the tour.
