  • ^^^ Brilliant

  • Perhaps someone should put tacks under Francis' wheels.

    #keepingitreal

  • carpet tacks

  • 30 punctures!

  • Joke. Luckily there wasn't anyone seriously injured!

  • Europcar are running tubeless tyres with slime-like substance in them, according to Boardman, then Pierre Rolland attacks off the front, coincidence? ;)

  • Joke. Luckily there wasn't anyone seriously injured!

4.30pm: It's being reported that upwards of 30 tacks have been found on the road back near the summit of the climb where all those riders punctured. One rider has been forced to abandon the tour after crashing in the wake of his puncture. I think it was Robert Kiserlovski.
    (From the Guardian's live updates)

    Unfortunately there was.

    Cunts.

  • Joke. Luckily there wasn't anyone seriously injured!

Someone DID crash at the top and broke their collarbone.

  • Fuck.... Absoute bastards!

  • It always comes down to religion in the end.

On the Eurosport feed, when this story was told, "Christian charity" was the comment.

  • Where do you get Sagan backing it? I've only seen his interview in English, so it's hard to know exactly what he thinks, but on the face of it he seemed to grudgingly accept the jury decision. He could hardly complain about it.

We can never know whether the swerve was malicious, although on the basis of never attributing to malice that which can be satisfactorily explained by incompetence we should probably conclude that Goss just fucked up by accident, but it was dangerous. Another few inches could have had Sagan off.

The interview I saw he was critical of Goss, happy with the jury decision and glad his hold on green was more secure

  • So, with the rest day and the TT to come, only four days remain for attacks on Wiigins on Wiggins. As tomorrow is flat, Wednesday,Thursday and Friday are the only days for moves to be made by Nibbles and Cuddles. Mind you, Sky,as a team, looked very strong today.

  • Yeah that would do it

  • Worrying that the girlfriend is some kind of footballers wife, bring back the days of Anquetil.

Errr. Which bit? The part where he impregnated with his wife's stepdaughter, and then lived a trois?

  • Shame the tacks weren't in Francis' frogs legs.

  • Bill of course not that element of Jacques behaviour. More thinking of the wine, pheasant, women quote.

  • Whoever stuck this at the end of yesterdays highlights for Morkov chapeau

  • I always wondered if anyone would have the stupidity/ selfishness to throw nails into a stage, and there you go, someone did, the punctures and 3 wheel disaster that Cadel experienced were bad enough, but really feel for the rider who came down and broke his collarbone. I really hope the guilty party got to see that up close.

  • Just caught up with the highlights. What a day. Sagan the sprinter/climber, Roland the Judas and Wiggins the Patron.
ITV also showed Tejay Van Garderen apparently ignoring Evans' cries for help when he punctured. Still if your team leader shouts out "A tack" then what would you do?

  • Even 10-30minutes after a climb you can't understand what Cadel says, just super high speed, high pitched, single syllabell words coming at you.

  • Tejay did what Froome would like to...

Rolland tried to do a Cuntador...

Very tacky, both of them. No class.

Sorry, had to. But no, no class unlike Wiggo who showed despite the potty mouth and bad sideburns, he's a standup guy. Evans must have been fucking disgusted standing there like a lemon with a fucking hardware store stuck up his wheel whilst bradley is swept forth on his magic carpet of invincibles. Sky even being led-out up the climb by Cav. Fucking hell. And Sagan. Monster. And that finish. Epic day.

  • Frankie 'says relax' Schleck talks about todays stage

And he comes across like a dude, like the bit where he's goes 'hey I'm in an interview'

  • I'm beginning to like Frank Schleck a little bit. Saw an interview yesterday were he said, no, I'm not going to get any better in this tour and admitted that he needs his brother there to cheer him up. Which is not the sort of candour you hear very often.

  • I haven't got a brother.
