Got 28s under mine; wouldn't want any wider TBH

Currently 23c tyre
Want to run 25c w/ blumels
Possible? Or pushing it with 23c?

They're not the SK version so a lower profile but I think it's unlikely to work. I'll just go SKS

I'm looking for reccomendations for super cheap mudguards for an old mtb with 26" tyres. Are these any good at all?

Welcome to the club, third flap is excellent but when you get the fourth oh lordy, that's the one.

Recently my other half got one of these: a pinnacle-neon-1 (size M) and I now want to fit some guards to it. I was going to use the same ones as I have one my bike (Tortec Reflector) but they are a little too gig. Any recommendations? The tyes are 28mm and preferable metal as I want to bolt a light to the back guard.

Still on the hunt for a set of sks blumells or the like, black, for 700 / 28's (after 'donating' Bugno's guards to another bike)... will need posted. Maybe cheaper to buy new. Any good deals about?

What does the third flap do for you once below the chainstays?

I would assume it helps prevent the amount of spray on the bottom half of the chainset/chain.

The 35mm blumels work for me with 4 season 28s on my genesis equlibrium.

Excellent. Off to Radial, cheers for the tip.

Only caveat.

The genesis equilibrium takes long drop brakes, so there may be more room between the frame and the tyre.

You might also want to try Radial's own alloy mudguards (discussed here).
