  • Does anyone know the size of the bearings which go in the BMW headset? I need about 4 as the place under the sofa ate them...

  • Another BMW related question. I'm after some stickers for my Gangsta, anyone have a clue where to get in the UK?

  • The guy you need is called 'Ged' he lives in Manchester and is a window cleaner by trade. He's in charge of the distro in the UK.

He only has 2 colourways in the uk at the moment. Navy/Red and Lime green/white

  • Gotcha, let me get in touch. Need some black ones so who knows how long I'll be waiting!

    Thanks.

  • You'll be waiting a life time if you want anything other than what he's got to be honest.

  • Dang, I hoped you wouldn't say that!

  • ^ I bought these about 5 months ago odd for my V1. TBH I'd not buy them for a few reasons:

It's not one piece of vinyl, rather each letter/detail is separate.
Because of the above they're an absolute f**ker to put on as it all keeps on moving.
Again because of above the letters chip and peel super easy.
The vinyl itself is quite soft and breaks up.
Mine is pretty beat after all that time.. A shame though as it did look good before it was chained up more than 3 times!
I've not managed to find anyone else that prints them, however. BMW themselves have never, ever, ever replied to any of my emails so i wouldn't waste time w them!

  • Umh, good to hear your experience with those decals, not gonna get mine resprayed ever then.

Yeh, they really dont know how to use electronic communication devises at BMW. Been after OG fork for some time now, probably I just have to go there to get one.

  • Thanks for the feedback chaps, the options aren't good:

    • get expensive shitty ones;
    • spend a lifetime emailling BMW to no avail.

    Hmmmm...

  • Customer service doesn't exist in that part of brooklyn I don't think.

  • I've heard that brooklyn is out of business, hence you can't buy anything from them, other than left over stock in some shops.

  • really? that would be a shame if true

  • I have heard from an ex-rider that they have gone under :-( sucks

  • If that were the case, Chari & Co wouldn't be selling anymore BMW stuff.

  • That can't be right? I'm pretty sure I've seen some pictures of a 29er they're building...

  • i think they're still operating...i got this email last week about an OG fork i need (2 months after I sent the email asking):

"Sorry man they (V1) are no longer in production. All newer models are currently running the Cluster fork

    Thanks

    BKYLN Sales"

so those hoping for a new run of forks may be disappointed. C&Co said basically the same thing to me too

  • They haven't gone out of business.

  • BooM!

  • so wish they would make some v1 forks again

  • ^ agreed. They define the Gangsta I reckon..

  • That can't be right? I'm pretty sure I've seen some pictures of a 29er they're building...

    pics plzzz

  • May be wrong but...

  • They've made a couple of twenty niners...they also recently made a new BMX for one of their sponsored riders.
    They're still hanging in there.
Problem is...when you fall behind, you just don't know where to start, and BMW have been around quite a long time now and the number of employees to handle everything can be counted on one ninja turtles hand....so the number of emails, requests, and enquiries backed up will be colossal...sometimes people just have to take a step back from things, get their head together, and figure out how to get things working again in a way they can deal with.
