  • No difference between the 40 and 46cm V1 unless you're really that short an arse,so don't worry about the sizing (the top tube is slightly longer on the 40cm than the 46cm).

  • No difference between the 40 and 46cm ...the top tube is slightly longer on the 40cm than the 46cm.

    ok

What? That makes no sense at all.

  • I know it doesn't, but it is.

  • ^ if that is the case the 40cm seems like a design fail. Looks worse and doesnt really add anything to the 46. Even their own webpages are still showing 40 46 and 50 sizes without telling that info.

this is not true! you have been told before the old chart is wrong

  • Don't think I had been told that...

  • Oh Ed...

  • If someone did says it's wrong, then why there's no correction on size? (obviously the new V2 is out so it's redundant to), why didn't anyone mentioned the actual size than said "this isn't right"?

  • what about these?

  • I was talking about the V1 Gangsta.

  • oh, my bad.

  • the v1 40cm is slightly shorter than the 46cm. the original geo sheet was removed from the brooklyn site because it was WRONG.

  • I've always thought this a bit unlikely though - isn't it more likely that there is an error on the geo picture than them making a nominally bigger bike (by everyone's standard method of measurement) which has a shorter top tube. Wouldn't be totally surprised to be proved wrong though, has someone got one to measure!?

  • Kind of, it's 40cm from centre to centre, but it's 48cm from centre to top, the one I've tried is the medium but that one already felt a little bit long even with a 90mm stem.

I think the best thing you should do is to go to TFG with a measuring tape, and measure it carefully.

    worth measuring twice, pay once.

this was the v1 (smallest size) yeah?

if so, this has answered a lot of questions i had regarding differences in geo between v1 and v2...... :)

  • ...

  • Look like Scott went the same way as I did with the BMW...

  • Ed, have you considered Spec Savers?

  • Waiting for new contact lenses so I can wear glasses incidentally.

Yes I realise it didn't have brake and rack mount (and the fork).

  • why do those dummy levers have pivots in them?

  • So when you're about to crash, least you get to squeeze something.

  • Probably so they can just make more parts for the actual braking versions and nick them for that
