  • Hopefully soon have some Super Ted forks balls rollin now.

Love it with sword forks somehow. (NOT mine, sadly)

  • I do like that fork, i recon it would look amazing on a Bareknuckle

  • I have a v1 size 50 gangsta that will be for sale soon. OG forks with V brake mounts brazed on by Oak cycles and a raw paintjob with matt soft touch lacquer. Headset, seat post and seat clamp included and a new set of vinyl decals - £800.

  • Ok, they're getting rarer and yours does sound nice, but £800 for frame kit only?! Woah!

There was a *complete *V1 that sold a while back with Thomson, Sugino and Phil components for around what you're asking.

If your price was halved you'd have my cash coming your way (despite the modified forks).

  • Anyway, what's the geo of the size 50 v1?

I can only find 40cm and 46cm online.

  • £800? You could probably get someone to build you one for that money.

  • effective top tube was 58-59cm if I remember correctly.

    also glwys jv

    • £800.

    Ha.

  • For eight hundred snots I'd add some more and get Ted James involved.

    Madman.

  • The Sword forks on that ^^^ look CLASS!

Agreed about the £800 mark although someone recently offered their V1 to me for £1000. I think it was built up but.... whaaa? Indeed, judging by his forays into custom BMX building, Ted I'm sure would build one for around the K mark without too many questions asked. I'd be tempted if I had the moolah!

  • I'd love to see Ted's take on a gangsta, i reckon £800 would be about on the mark

  • Yeah! Something a bit more versatile (and smaller) than the ESB would be a dream.

  • That's originally what I was going to do when realising it was going to be tricky to get hold of an actual Gangsta. Would've struggled to have afforded it but can't help but feel it'd have been better value for money in some way, hah!

  • Dunno why I'm saying that really as currently I can't even fault the Gangsta

  • It's amazing how one bike can change so many peoples lives.

  • ^ you kiddings? Gangsta is a life changing bike compared to other fixies?

  • The last V1 with fork sold for what £550 and it went quick. Thats not a bad price for something that is rare and wanted. £800 tho is a total rip.

  • 450 for a second hand cromoly frame. Lolnothx. Just cannot comprehend why anyone would spend that cash when a Pompino or an Inbred will do almost the same thing.

  • Roadiedouchbag thread

  • So rude Sven :P

Gangstas are really great, never ridden a pomp but much prefer it to the inbred.

The main true thing there ^ is "almost the same thing".

What I really can't understand is how someone would spend a huge amount of money on second hand wheels with rare collectable hubs, file axles on them, then sell them, and couldn't buy Formula hubs to do the same butchery on them. It's almost a same thing.

  • the old ESBs with english threaded BBs smaller tyre clearance

  • Fair point pepe. At the least the axles were replaceable :-)
