  • Cambridge just had the most amaze lightning and hail I can remember.

  • I saw a bit of that last night whilst I went through Burgess Park at about 10pm. It was miles away and really quiet. I couldn't quite figure out if it was lightning or not.

  • s'wet though eh...

  • quite glad I wasn't fooled by the light grey morning, when it looked like it wouldn't rain at all today. Would fuck me off if I had to ride home through the torrential downpour which has taken residence above us..

  • Had tickets for the 20/20 at the Oval......bloody weather

  • Back to business as usual then?

  • Rode to work in a t-shirt this morning. Fuck.

  • Glorious cycle back into office from Haringay.
That Parkland walk is amazing fun.
    Everything is soaked.

  • I'm not sure why the weather is like this. I brought all the right gear with me this morning, I've even got fully charged lights. Should have guaranteed tropical sunshine.

  • Glad I packed my rain cape.

What do we think, hold out for it to tail off or sod it and go home?

  • not supposed to stop raining till tomorrow morning. Looks like there's a bit where it lightens up a bit, but not sure you can plan your ride home around it..

  • Hmmm, looking at http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ makes me think the truly "biblical" phase is still yet to happen.

  • That's what I'm looking at and reached the same conclusion as corny, there seems to be a patchy bit coming!

This could be wishful thinking though. I might just accept I'm going to get wet and go in a bit.

  • About to leave my office, dis gone be a wet one.

  • Chose a great day to move house, especially when there was no room in my van for the suitcases which then ended up on the roof rack. Everything. Soaked.

  • :(

I went in the end, it was fine, although some of the roads on my commute were basically flooded.

  • What's the best longer view weather prediction site? I want to know what it's going to be like in a fortnight in east anglia - I'm staying overnight in a field and kind of leaning towards a bivvy and tarp, but a tent might be more sensible. I own none of these things, hence the need for a bit of forward planning.

  • You wouldn't be going to bridefest would you?

  • um.... yes?

  • I want to know what it's going to be like in a fortnight

Do you even British weather? Nobody really knows what it's going to be like this afternoon.

  • 90% chance of grey clouds everywhere at minimum

90% chance of grey clouds everywhere at minimum

  • fish fingers and drizzle. film at eleven.

    Same as always.

  • Yellow rain warning for Friday.

xcweather gives an interesting amount of rain for Friday morning; more that 5mm in 3 hours is considered a lot so luckily I won't be here to find out what 40mm in 3 hours is like.
