Don't know what it's like down your neck of the woods, but black ice abounds in Leeds! Roads and paths like wet glass. Thank fuck for Schwalbe Delta Cruiser 28s!!!

When I got in to work I though my bars felt odd.

The bars, levers, even the Brooks bar tape was coated in a thick layer of clear ice.
The caliper was coated in it, the frame too. Then I realised my jacket was frozen solid in places and my helmet had more clear ice just starting to melt off it.

fucking deadly!

Benign in my part of London today. 5 degrees, no wind, no ice. The cold has broken and supposedly heading for 10 later today. Happy days.

It was indeed fucking ridiculous in Leeds this morning. I'm positive that the 25c Vittoria Zaffiro I have on my rear wheel did not help.

So I've been off the bike a bit recently, due to working from home and being a lazy cunt. Happily I had a nice long ride home for christmas planned today to get me moving again. And it's fucking pissing down. Could have done without 80 miles in the pissing rain, and so could the bike. Ho hum.
