  • longjohns under jeans ftw!

This is me from November to January, never take them off!

  • Nobody around at 10am, streets fairly empty. Dense cold air. Muffled noise. Bright sunshine. Snotty nose, streaming eyes.
    Brilliant.

  • Fantastic day for a ride... Was lucky enough to have the day off today so been out and abut running errands on the Roberts... Pure fucking joy... Do it if you can...

it sure is alas i am working, but this morning as i made my way across waterloo bridge stopped towards the north side lookked back across it was a very nice sight, i just thought to myself how nice it would be to spend the day pootling arround..stop at a warm pub for an afternoon swift. nice

have you not switched to winter eyes then Damo.

  • ha :)

  • I have to wear glasses in winter. Contacts popped out once due to right eye streaming. It's only ever the right eye.

  • i find that contacts are better for me in the cold days my eyes water less that when i have me specks on, i have now sitched to winter eyes

yah - went for a pootle on the gears today. So nice. Just make sure you've got enough on :)

  • About to finish pint #3 in the Regent*, sky's still blue... A++++ day... :)

    • Still no sign of Nippon...

oh plums - i had the day off and have been running errands, too...

  • Plenty snow up here - putting fat tyres on my MTB frame running single speed tonight and off out in the snow tomorrow!!!

  • Just installing stud on the torn Fat Frank tyres (which I repaired), just in case it might snow heavily, which probably will in February or summat.

    Overkill, and then some more.

  • Ha!

  • why not? it's not costing me anything, and from the weather last year, I'd like to be on the safe size while riding down side street that hasn't been driven over enough to melt the ice.

  • What would jimbilly do?

I ran the mountain bike with fatter tyres that was it. Didn't run the skinny tyres.

  • this is not London.

don't forget to stock up on food and drinking water, just in case.

  • this is not London.

Of course not, but this isn't costing me anything, the tyres is an old one that have a ripped sidewall, so why not?

it's a little hairy riding with 28c tyres in side street, but on an MTB with 2.35 tyres, perfect.

  • Still overkill.

In other news we have had 4 inches of snow overnight. The Island will now come to a standstill.

First Saturday of in a month, I here the mountain calling.

  • do it
take the thermos, a rifle and chewing tobacco.

  • Just been sitting at the top of a frosty Blythe Hill after a big night, great views over a foggy London...

  • do it
take the thermos, a rifle and chewing tobacco.

    Will do.

  • love it on the news with all these people saying "its unbelievable"
is it? in november that some snow should fall out of the sky on us.
    pussies.
