Latex is faster as well, due to being more elastic/supple it lowers the tyres Crr compared to butyl.

If you're dosing from the off, get cafe latex. It's ammonia free so won't damage the latex inner over time.

Is that pre dosing?
Does it contain ammonia?I have 3 cans of the effetto aerosol. Try to stock up. definitely prefer it to pitstop.

Pre-dosed, no ammonia

• #1909
Yeah just read that.

Sorry.
I never pre dose. But I rarely need to use latex. S I save the weight.

I have personally used low ammonia latex milk (0.2 - 0.8 %) from Kremer Pigments--- surely available from AP Fitzpatrick in London. It is inexpensive (11.90 EURO/Liter). Could probably add some Xanathan Gum and/or non-reactive filler but ...

Does it contain ammonia?
Does not matter. Latex milk is always under 2% (high ammonia: 0.6-2%) and low NH3 emulsions are under 0.3%

thanks alot for the offer, i am located in germany.
i ordered a Vittoria Corsa CX III tub, they re on sale atm, so i got em for a real good price.
i made good experience with Vittoria open tubs/clinchers and the iso grip compound, so i do hope that the CXIII does also not give up immediately. -

the Vittoria Corsa CX III tub arived today, it´s "external cotton ribbon" is in natural color. which will leave me with a thin white line showing when glued, or am i getting something wrong ?
what tubs do have a black cotton ribbon ? or whats the benefit of the natural colored ribbon ? -

It'll be visible (depending on the width of the rim bed though I suppose), just make sure you have the tub centred and the same amount of white tape visible both sides.
After glueing it will be dark yellow, doesn't really show up unless you look for it.
-
• #1921
do the veloflex carbon /extreme also do have the white tape ?
-
• #1922
Yep.
-
• #1923
