It's a great photo, for me it's the variety of facial expressions and the angles at which people are composed that does it for me. The only slight flaws I think are that Gus and a couple of others are partially obscured and, perhaps, although I quite like the asymmetrical composition, that you don't see the other rider on the right, although of course it's clear that they're there.

Is this the first time that there have been a lot of spectator shots? From previous times, I mainly remember the shots of competitors taken by Caspar and Winston.

Just had Winspar around for a staff social. Only time I will ever get into a final. (Lost it)

Managed a new PB of 22.16. At this rate I will be sub 21 in a month or so. Also achieved an HR of 178 bpm which is also a record. Getting closer to ascertaining my max.

Thanks BMMF. Still way out of your league. I tried the drops and leaning a long way forward with the tip of the saddle barely touching my arse thus taking the weight off the rear wheel and placing gravity over the pedals. I focused on breathing out and the up strokes. It seemed to work and I achieved a much smoother cadence.
