I run 500g Marathon Plus... it has p_nct_red. You have been very lucky.
-
• #328
well there's enough hot air in this thread to inflate several tyres. aaaaaaaaaaaaarmmmm....
-
• #329
Are the tyires good for RLJ's?
-
• #330
28 I believe. The 32s are 800g!
Pressure between 100-115psi
-
• #331
Too high - no wonder you punctured.
-
• #332
Rubbish.
Other than the big cut, it's been good. Feels like another 1-2" added though.
-
• #333
Fuck all that. Just fuck the tyre weight and get some more resistant tyres.
That was some armadillos, what do you reccomend?
-
• #334
Pictures or it didn't happen

I stopped taking puncture strips with me after I found out you can stuff your tyre with leaves and it'll work just as well, effectively like using a minipump to 120psi.
the leaves also come in handy if I find myself in remote countryside and I need to 'pump' out a sleeper - though I do already use toilet paper to wrap my drops.
-
• #336
Really, I thought greaseproof was better for drops and that you should only use toilet paper on risers.

I did a year without punct--ing on ultragators, pu-ctur-d on the way into uni to hand my end of year project in. Mini pump saved the year.
lower pressure with wider tyres is bollocks, you've got more surface area in contact with the ground to pick up bits of glass etc and you'll get pinch flats.
BTW you suck x x
-
• #338
well I believe that higher pressures are more likely to get punctures.
Okay, Transport for London wins this time*, but I'm sure hippy will come back stronger once all his house buying stress is in the past.
Anyway, it's stuffy here at work. I need to get some air. I'm off to the garage...

Can you *get *veggie scotch eggs?

Can you *get *veggie scotch eggs?
the idea seems highly unlikely but they try and flog all sorts of weird rubbish at garages these days. it's been a long time since the only sustenance you could get was a Men Only and a packet of toffoes.

• #342
hippy's been quiet for 19 minutes.
http://www.somethingawful.com/d/photoshop-phriday/celebrities-dwarfs-short.phpis there a link?

I think he's laying down a 600g cable

Saw veggie scotch eggs in a deli in Scotland, right next to the veggie haggis. Apparently they have a crust of barley, veggie bits and soya protiens. They breadcrumbs weren't orange enough though.

Sorry.. I AM at work..
Anyway, those tyres are usually fine but I lucked out with quite a big cut on something. It was quite early in their life, I don't recall what and I don't want to bin them. Even at 100psi they feel too floaty when clipping small edges coernering and shit. I've p_nct_red due to that cut about twice since. I know it's there but it's not worth the £25 to get a new tyre.
Regardless of what I use, if you are running inflatable tyres there will never be 0 chance of p_nct_re and since I have time-critical things to do and don't like relying on other people I choose to be prepared. -

Can you *get *veggie scotch eggs?
-
• #347
I don't really *do *Quorn. And I never liked scotch eggs as a former meat eater (well, I never liked meat, TBH).
But thanks for the information. I'll be sure to pass it on to interested parties.

Your maths are fucking weird.
(PS. still 2 more typos to ninja edit: "The time I save by not having to pack a pump, tube and levers out *weights *the time... changes, I shell leave those items at home.")
-
• #349
I love my wee mini topeak one. huggles it Thankyou Max!

The time I save by not having to pack a pump, tube and levers out weights the time I have to deal with punctures. For me, until that equation changes, I shell leave those items at home.
Most people pack these things once. It's hardly a burden.
And in any case, you're wrong. Regardless of what experience has taught you, you're still wrong.
Do they skid equally well on road conversions and track frames?
