  • I didn't realize from the previous trailers that there will be other monsters.
    Let them fight!

Godzilla - Asia Trailer [HD] - YouTube

  • The Royal Tenembaums. I enjoyed it, I think. I had a couple of proper LOL moments while the GF didn't flinch. I don't think she liked it. Soundtrack was ace though.

    7/10

  • ^^ why isn't the UK trailer that good!?

  • Have you ever watched a film that didn't do much for you as you watched it, but that completely filled your brain immediately afterwards? Usually, for me, it's because I'm left with a feeling of an overall impression or atmosphere that is affecting. Anyway, I like it. Just watched Shame FWIW.

  • Spider-Man 2 last night. Big meh IMO. Way too much lovey dovey shit.

  • I wish Sony would sell Spidey back to Marvel/Disney. 5 films and what, 2 was the only really good one? First three Rami did alright, ruined by shit casting. New ones, great casting, overall both meh. They've proved they don't have what it takes. Let it go

Currently looking forward to The Wind Rises....

  • Spoiler?

Maguires fight with gg was better IMO.

  • Toby Maguire, what a fucking bonehead. So glad his career appears to have nosedived.

  • VHS2 - got forced to watch it by a friend who has banging on about watching it ever since we watched VHS (a big steamy turd, by the way), and wouldn't stop going on about how the sequel had received great reviews. Whoever those reviewers were, I can only assume they had been paid by the distributors of VHS2 for those good reviews. I have had shits that were scarier and far less cliched. My farts have better structure and higher production values. A total waste of time.

  • Just wtched The Descendants. Couldn't say enough about it, brilliant. I love Payne's films so much.

  • I like Toby, he's cute...

Watched the Matrix Trilogy over the last three nights, absolute codswallop but loved every minute...

  • Bridesmaids on Film 4 - so far so good

  • I saw Blue Ruin last night, I still can't believe it was apparently only $38,000 to make, it was brilliantly shot and looked beautiful. Some very good dialogue and really dark but funny moments. Plot started to wobble a bit towards the end, but I would still highly recommend it.

  • We went for The Wind Rises last night. Not quite sure whether some of its oddness is deliberate, but always watchable and quite touching.

  • Calvary = amazing

  • That Pantani film finally gets released this week ... prem on Tuesday ...

  • I saw a poster for that, is it a documentary or a dramatisation?

  • Bridesmaids on Film 4 - so far so good

Very funny, Melissa McCarthy totally steals that film.

The Royal Tenembaums. I enjoyed it, I think. I had a couple of proper LOL moments while the GF didn't flinch. I don't think she liked it. Soundtrack was ace though.

Are you marking down because of the GF factor? I would say 8, its my second most favourite Wes Anderson film.

Yeah, I thought the Spiderman reboot was a Disney/Marvel thing - unfortunately Marvel made a deal with Sony before the Disney acquisition for 3 movies. But be glad it just means that Marvel/Disney will just reboot it again in a few years. I liked the first one in this series because it changed the origin slightly. But I haven't gone to see the second one yet.

Toby Maguire, what a fucking bonehead. So glad his career appears to have nosedived.

What makes you say that? He just doesn't need to work!

  • I loved the first reboot of spidey too but this one was very disappointing

  • I saw a poster for that, is it a documentary or a dramatisation?

Documentary. Matt Rendell's in it, as are Bradley and Greg Lemond. The best interviewee by far is Pantani's mother, though. Tells it like it is.

  • Off to watch Frank at the Rio in Dalston tonight, I like Michael Fassbender and I've heard good reviews of the film, will report back.

  • Pantani film looks pretty decent.

  • Shame about that trailer though.

  • bitch, I made that.

  • ;)
