So I thought cloud atlas was enjoyable. Obviously long, but interestingly paced. I didn't actually find it dragged all that often.

i'm pretty sure liking that film makes you a racist.
-
• #9279
That's the one thing I didn't want to be. Cock.

Steel and fixed comments make me laugh.

King Kong. As much fun you can have for 3 hrs of cgi and a handful of actors.

Out of the furnace. Bit slow and long, got a bit bored at times but it wasn't bad, they should have cut half of the first half.

12 years a slave was strange. It felt like he was only gone for the summer.
No sense of time passing at all. -

Brad Pitt's cameo in that was unintentionally hilarious.
-
• #9293
is he an amish?
-
• #9294
It struck me as Brad Pitt playing Brad Pitt. Assuming he's not particularly self-aware.
I agree with the passage of time comment on reflection. I loved the film, but it was hard to work out where the 12 years had been spent. Especially the time away on the judge's plantation, I'm not sure if that was weeks, months or years.
I still thought it was an awesome film though.

-
• #9297
i wouldn't know, i've not seen the wire. is it a pile of undiluted bum goulash as well?
-
• #9298
Wire is quite entertaining. IMO but then I did watch a few episodes at a time.
-
• #9299
The wire was quality.
Fruitvale Station is a seriously good watch.

Lego movie not bad bit clichéd towards end but its a kids movie.
Watching Memphis 3 a documentary about miscarriage of justice in USA. The mistakes made are unreal its enraging.
Informative viewing but hard at the same time.
Leon
How I managed to get to middle age without seeing this, who knows. By eck, it is some film.
When Matilda turns onto the corridor at the top of the stairs, realising what has happened, keeps walking nonchalantly, then pleads at the door for Leon to let her in - my goodness, has a 12yr old acted better?
Superb.
