Thor is exhausting. So much talking and nothing makes sense.

How many watts could an Immortal generate in a sprint on a track bike?

if you go into a superhero film expecting more than mindless, throwaway entertainment you're gonna be dissapoint.

the only worthy thing DC has done of late are those morally questionable batman films.

Artistically questions, as well. (They are rubbish. 1989 Batman or GTFO).

Actually the New Arrow TV series isn't too bad. Mind you, even that isn't as good as the New Adventures of Superman TV series from the 90s.

You expect a film based on religion to make sense?

True enough, and not all the locals were hostile, that was a nice touch.
I was left wondering what happened to the poor locals afterwards...Americans go flying off leaving the Afghanis to get massacred later

There was a afterword at the end explaining why they did it, and a picture of the actual dude with the guy who saved him at some point after he'd healed up, which is pretty fucking awesome.

I think they were Pashtun? it's the medieval feudal thing, if a man is in need you are duty bound to protect him like a brother, you accept a man into your house and if someone so much as insults him you stick a knife in their neck. Even if it makes the Taliban cross. I think they did get him.

Arrow was shite, I managed about 2 and a bit episodes, such cheese.

because sickbeard automatically grabs every episode once you add a show I still d/l it but it's pretty much the last thing I watch when I've ran out of other things to occupy the voices in my head.
it's basically a shitter version of smallville based on a crappier superhero. the island flashbacks every episode are so fucking tedious. it took the last 3 episodes for them to have an argument on the island, split up, and find each other again.

For those who are just discovering Oldboy, you do realise it's part of a trilogy, of which Lady Vengeance may well be the best part?
Also check out JSA (Joint Security Area), by the same director, in my top 10 films.

I never got on with lady vengeance but loved the other two. Somehow having seen lady twice I still cannot remember the exact plot.
Oldboy is easily in my top 5 films though.

Terrific tension, some great shots, stupid story and tin foil hats.
