Great movie. Finally got round to watching it last night via Chromecast which worked perfectly (This helped justify the geeky purchase to my GF)

Wolf of Wall St was pretty blah. I thought it was going to be about actual things. It wasn't. It even made jokes about the fact (DiCaprio tells the audience there's no point in actually explaining what's happening, in the least inventive breaking of the fourth wall ever). Without telling an interesting story it ended up being 3 hours of a Leo DiCaprio monologue to footage of big boats, tits, people snorting vitamin D, and eating pills.

I'm actually liking it less as I reflect back. It wasn't the shittiest film ever, but for a rehash of old Scorsese I'd stick with Bringing out the Dead.

...and it was three fucking hours long.

/something about it being as bloated and self-indulgent as the people and vices it seeks to pillory.
