  • Inception? Pish or pass?

  • Can't wait for both.

  • Inception? Pish or pass?

Really can't tell from the trailer. Early reviews seem to be good though.

Also saw the trailer for The Green Hornet. Looks pretty cool. Michel Gondry directing, so I'm expecting ace visuals.

  • Watched Crazy Heart last night.
    LOVE the Bridges.
    Deserved statuette.

I heard Inception was the greatest film ever made - surefire way to kill it ; )

  • Saw Predators yesterday. Great B-movie action.

Am even more excited about seeing this now

  • *I heard* *Inception** was the greatest film ever made - surefire way to kill it* ; )

I am recommending this film, just as I recommended KICK-ASS.

I think INCEPTION will be absolutely fantastic.

  • Im sure you are a nice bloke,
but you sure like some shit films.
or, better put, you sure buy into every bit of sophisticated film marketing that comes out.
been done before with similar themes, big budget, need to recoup making costs, guns, pow- pow-- blah blah blah, blah

  • Ask around *m.f, and see if you find anyone that knows me even slightly, that doesn't think that I am

    A) Sceptical of nature
    B) A little bit intelligent

Most of my film collection at home is Korean, but I cater for other people's tastes also......for when I am entertaining. I don't buy into Americana at all, but some American films do stand out. Kick-Ass was one, and I feel the Inception will be another.

I don't buy into other people's shit at all. No-one who has known me, ever, would recognise that comment.

  • only a little bit?

  • 1% intelligence
    9% belligerence
    80% fat
    10% shy

    1. 1% intelligence
    2. 9% belligerence
    3. 80% fat
    4. 10% shy

    Fixed.

  • Fixed.

    :)

  • how can you recommend a film you haven't even seen yet?

  • On the other hand, how can M.F. berate a film he hasn't?

  • ^ you don't need to see films to know that they are not for you

  • There's a difference between knowing "they're not for you" and going as far as saying they're shit, prefixing it by "I'm sure you're a nice bloke but.."

  • ^ you don't need to see films to know that they are not for you

Bollocks - next you'll be telling us that Sex In the City 2 is shit, without having seen it!

Maybe I'm missing a back story here, but Kick-Ass is being widely regarded as one of the greatest superhero films of all time, and Inception is from the man that brought us Momento, and is already recieving great reviews (http://uk.rottentomatoes.com/m/1217219-inception/)

So how are these "shit films"?

Or you could say - "those sort of films don't really do anything for me."

that would be a far more mature way of saying it, youre right, I was on here waaaaay too much yesterday. as you were.

  • @ *m.f

These were all taken from page 3 of this thread. I find your illinformedness to be divertingly refreshing. You don't drive a big white van by any chance?

    I guarantee you never forget these - Battle in Heaven; Bad Boy Bubby;
But my faves are - City of God, Hidden Blade, Taxi Driver, Scarface, Leon, Sling Blade, Zatoichi.

    I forgot Das Boot.

Best opening sequence of any film EVER, is in Battle in Heaven. It beats even the slo-mo explosion in Swordfish. Not violenty, but grabs the attention big-time!

Bad Boy Bubby's beginning is gruesome (not easy to watch a man rogering his own mum), but it does perk up later and get funny. Honest.

The Long Good Friday - Top Film. Best quote; "The IRA? I'll fuck 'em"!

Kind of like saying Eastenders is the greatest Soap opera OF ALL TIME.

    Cos it is of course.

  • Youth In Revolt.

I like that fun, unpredictable with a predictable ending.

  • Saw Predators yesterday. Great B-movie action.

I thought it was nothing but yawning piss...
    Action..... made me miss Arnold.
    Waste of time/money.
    IMO

  • I saw Predators last night... knew exactly what I was going to get and it didn't dissapoint, solid action monster flick

Saw a trailer for the Expendables as well... YES

  • Precious is very worth watching.
Not overly keen on some of the "style", but the message is strong and the performances are solid.

    Anybody seen Tetro ?
