  • ^^ it does :-)

Background fodder. Visually appealing though, could have been something good.

  • Upside Down is a much better movie... Of that ilk... Tho' I really enjoyed the new TR!

  • Gangster Squad was pretty lame.

  • ^ I don't know why you couldn't have sussed that out from the a) the cast and b) everything about the entire premise?

multiplex fodder for the popcorn people

  • ^^^ The thing about Total Recall. If you put it into perspective ... was the original really that good?

I enjoyed it, way back then. I can't quite remember how old I was but it seemed nearly every action film had Arnie in it. If I rewatch them now I think to myself wow, they really weren't all that good, were they.

When critics diss the new one, you'd think someone had remade an abomination of some sci-fi masterpiece. Its just a flick. The visuals were nice, the action was ok, the acting wasn't overly hammy and I was happy to see the bird with the three tits again.

Yep, agree, still enjoyed. Far from Penn's best moment, still a joy to see him on the big screen though.

  • Watched McCullin yesterday. Incredibly good, I felt mangled afterwards. Much recommended if you're in to that kinda thing.

I loved it because of the lameness of it, not because of how awesome it is.

  • I can see your point Ed

    Fuck you cinemas.

Hm, that's a shitter. You can watch it on Curzon on demand, not sure they sub them though?

  • Caught Mutiny on The Bounty at the weekend. Lovely film and Brando's performance, and accent, are just fantastic.

  • I hope so, there's a very high chance it won't have subtitles on the DVD like a lots of documentaries.

    £10!

Bloody hell. Gutted I won't get to see it on a big screen.

  • Managed to see Skyfall at last.. good enough not bad bond film. Not entirly sure where the best bond film ever came from

John Dies at the End.. Enjoyed this, different angle on a horror story with a tongue in cheek attitude

Started watching that, gf made me turn it off... Will give it another go...

what did you watch instead? Maid in Manhatten?

  • Struck by Lightning...

  • Gangster Squad was pretty lame.

Which can sometimes be a lot of fun. Obviously you're above that kind of thing though.

I saw the cast and sussed the entire premise and was keen to seen it because I thought it might be at least an entertaining romp or, better still, an entertaining and interesting parody. I have however decided not to see it as I've heard it's just a bit shit.

But then I must be a popcorn person... whatever the fuck one of those is.

  • People can't help shovelling you into their mouths?

  • yeah I'm above going to see shite films wherever possible

  • £10!

Bloody hell. Gutted I won't get to see it on a big screen.

as in cheap or expensive? I think it's fantastic

It won't be a lesser film on a small screen, the main thing for me was listening to him. But watching all those harrowing photos blown up to super size was quite something

  • Seven Pshycopaths on Sunday night, Django Unchained last night.
Both fucking excellent! Django naysayers can GTFO.

Argo or Zero Dark Thirty tonight?

Interesting project, breaking down films into the most prominent colour in every second of footage.

  • ^ I recall seeing this a few years ago, excellent stuff
