Killing Them Softly was good. As gritty as I expected and moderately clever.

Looper was so crap, bitterly disappointed
How so?

Bourne Identity was on TV last night. I'd forgotten just how good a film it is. Most enjoyable.

Bourne is good.
I watched Wall Street last night. His portrayal of Gekko is superb and well worthy of the Oscar.

I thought this was one of the worst films I've seen in the last year or so- was so close to walking out on a couple of occasions... Looked great and was nicely shot but so incredibly dull.
I just went to see The Imposter, an excellent 'you couldn't make this shit up' documentary.

It's just really slow, but I like slow.
Don't know anything about The Imposter. What's it about?

'A documentary centered on a young Frenchman who convinces a grieving Texas family that he is their 16-year-old son who went missing for 3 years.' It's such an absurd story that I was expecting it to be overly sensationalised, but in fact it's weirdly compelling and cleverly edited. Highly recommended

The imposter is hilarious, how thick are the American family?!

It's nuts, without giving anything away, I figured that it must have been a cover up and that they were fully aware of what was going on...

I didn't hate Looper, thought the story was quite clever and Joesph Gordon Levitt is cool, although in the middle I felt it dragged its heel a good bit!
Resident evil as crap as was the campaign. Both wastes of air!

I couldn't believe how dreadful Taken was when I eventually got round to seeing it. The kind of gung-ho, racist US made shite, that makes you wonder where the nearest Al-Qaeda recruitment office is.
Decent enough parody on Family Guy mind.

Yep, agreed, I loved the PI the best, especially when he spoke about using Adobe Photoshop. Comedy gold!

Went to see Leos Carax' new film Holy Motors last night and it was excellent, full of little surrealist vignettes from film history and absurd humour.

Watched Kill List last night
Without giving anything/too much away: interesting, film liked the overall feel of the ending but the final kill was obvious. Torture bit was pretty damned brutal
Yeah.
