Am i the only one to think that DiCaprios' performance looks a bit 'samey', he's kinda seems a bit typecast.
In this case, Luhrmann probably asked for a performance similar to Romeo and Juliet, (a bit vulnerable, a bit headstrong, an air of childish earnestness, hopeless romantic) just because he knows he can do it and it works.
Saying that, I haven't read The Great Gatsby for a couple of years so can't remember if those characteristics fit with the book properly.

Did she collapse because it was unmitigated shite?
Quite possibly as it happened when the ginger came back for a set too. I missed id say 5 mins due to everyone gathering round and shouting "is anyone a doctor in here"
Not that anyone piped up tho.Im kinda glad I wasn't the only one thinking it wasn't all too good.
Now means that when the dark knight comes out that its gonna smash this(hopefully)

Prometheus - wank. Lead actors were all awful, more plot holes than swiss cheese - pointless. At least 3 walkouts and 1 fairly early on too
Everything that made Alien so good.....nah, let's not have any of that, we need moar exploding turd shaped spacecraft.
that director made a good film once though, cant remember what it was
watched Tinker Tailor on dvd,

Just came out of the Surrey Quays Cinema after seeing The RAID. Yes, it's as good as everyone says, if not better. Raises the bar for intense action films. I'd recommended that back in March, and it was really worth the wait.

^ That's a bleak ol' film, that!

Watched Prometheus last night. Enjoyable but too many plot holes as already said. It's like Scott wanted the audience to guess at what was going on there was too much left out

Enjoyed promethius with all its flaws. A visual treat for horror sci-fi fans with enough film references to make any film buff happy
And Fassbinder's robot David steals the show -

Saw snow white tonight. Another ok film but found it far too long and boring at times!
-

saw promethius tonight enjoyed it but wondered after if it would have been anywhere near as acceptable if it stood alone and didn't rely on nods to the alien films to make scene's exciting/interesting.

Prometheus, 3D, Hackney Picturehouse
Loved it, lots of holes and things to criticise but overall I came away with a big grin and want to see it again in 2D, and I NEVER want to see films in the cinema twice.
STUNNING looking film, obviously part of a series of films (yes!), the 3D worked well however I suspect it needs a good, big screen, I thought Noomy Rapace was badly cast, needed someone to bring a bit more meat to that roll (Sigourney is just so perfect it's a hard act to follow)
The planet they were on felt like some desolate outpost in space, rather than another Moon clone or suttin.
8.5/10

Is Kick Ass any good?

Yes it is. In fact. It's been discussed on here quite a bit.

I saw Prometheus last night in 2D at the O2 cineworld. As everyone said it was never going to live up to the hype but Michael Fassbender is excellent as robot David!
