  • Rum Diary last night. Sort of enjoyed it but couldn't help thinking that it lost its way a bit and was a tad toooo Fear and Loathing.

  • Warrior - this was much much better than I had expected it to be. Check it out. My gf spent most of it gawping at that Hardy guy.

  • Oliver?

  • Late into the French films for MotherGirl (and everyone else) but I'd recommend The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, one of my favourites!

Sooo Fear and Loathing ruined it for me. It was watchable

Fuck French films! Watched Lives of Others last night.
Amazing film about the Stasi in Eastern Germany in the 80's

OMG - one of the saddest films ever (maybe a father/daughter thing). I watched it on a plane to go traveling for a year and blubbed throughout the whole flight.

Have you read the book? A must.

  • Jean-Dominique Boaby - an inspiration.

  • Just watched Shaolin, with an unexpected supporting role by Jackie Chan, last night.

Some absolutely superb fight scenes, some really solid acting by a lot of unknown (to me) faces, and generally superbly carried off. Not your run-of-the-mill martial arts film, not quite the calibre of Hero/Warrior/House of Flying Daggers.... but enjoyed every damn minute of it.

  • all this technical clothing talk is only reminding me that I can't have a mission workshop orion.

    I just watched this

YOUNG ADULT Trailer 2011 Official [HD] - YouTube

It was dark, i enjoyed it.

+1 thought it was brilliant. Theron on fire

  • Watched The Informant! the other night, great stuff, one of those easy-to-watch, hard-to-classify, based-on-a-true-story films like Catch Me If You Can.

  • Lives of Others is obviously brilliant, also check out Goodbye Lenin for your East Germany fix.

  • Speaking of Daniel Brühl, i rewatched inglorious basterds last night which was as good as I remember and i'm going to watch The Edukators tonight

  • ^good fun + political/interpersonal politics musings :)

  • Actually that looks quite funny.

  • Watched:
Justice - Nic Cage in an ok film shocker!
His missus gets raped, a vigilante group leader (Guy Pearce) offers to off the dude that did it in return for a 'favour' at 'some time in the future'
    Shit goes down.

Pretty good, for a modern nic cage film.

Trespass: Nic Cage in shit film shocker*
    *not shocking.
    Gets burgled, its shit.

In time: Justine Timberland futuristic dystopia, everyone stops aging at 25, time is currency, you buy and sell stuff using the time you have left, runs out, you die.
Really shit and obvious '99%' bollocks.

  • The Big Lebowski - Big 'meh'

  • Going to watch Rango tonight, Johny Depp as a chameleon, must be good.

  • Johnny Depp as a chameleon in the style of Hunter S Thompson.

  • Depp is dtm. That cunt Burton has polluted him.

  • Kubrik season, 2001tonight.

  • Chanel number...?
