  • Strange name for a film. Everyone knows you shouldn't run with blades

  • what film?

  • is it about an american indian?

  • i think mark hamill is in it as the lead

  • and Arnie playing himself

  • Bombay beach is on tomo.
SD sort of film there but I might be troughing pancakes instead...

  • Someone mention that ladeblunner film last page.
    I've heard about that somewhere

  • Watching 'A Dangerous Method' spurred me to unwrap the 'Eastern Promises' dvd I picked up over a year ago in a 4-for-£20 deal in HMV, but never got around to watching. Another great film, had not realised it was filmed in London. Recognised many of the locations, plus Naomi Watts pulls off an amazing English/London accent.

Yes, but the twist is a monumental cop-out.

Oh, and Moon is possibly one of the best sci-fi movies of the last 10 years....

No chance. Revealing its twist midway through meant the remainder was an exercise in grappling with the known knowns we'd rather not have known and resent knowing throughout the null and void anti-climax.

    Rumsfeld

  • Just rented a film called Casshern

I have it, and I like it :) It's typical Japanese fucked-uppedry, but good all the same.

  • Anyone else watched Bellflower? I wasn't sure what to make of it to start with. Enjoyed it by the end though

    gave up with this.

    Slow pretty film
real actors against blue screen manga, full of japanese teen angst, metropolis meets frankenstein,
Anime and CG red and green backgrounds, lots of male power play,
    pretty slow.

    lasted 30mins

    Like French wine then?

  • Watched Fight Club for the first time yesterday, I know awful I've never seen it.
Fucking brilliant film although my girlfriend ruined it for me by seeing if I could guess the twist... which I did
If you haven't, see Edward Norton in American History X he's brilliant

Not the most reliable of newpapers to get an opinion from.

I agree, they just couldn't hack film criticism.

    Both Matrix sequels.

    Not exactly a high hurdle.

^ this, if compared to the original, then it's definitely not better.

Casshern was interesting to watch thought, it's one of those film you can't quite make out hpw to rate it.

  • Like French wine then?

No, unlike French wine, Blade runner is of poor quality. Rutger Hauer's worst film, and that's saying something. Ridley Scott should be ashamed of himself, following Alien with such long winded over stylised nonsense. Harrison Ford can eat my foot too.

  • Just watched it. It's a good 'n

    Brilliant film amazing sountrack

Aye - soundtrack even better than Paris, Texas. Also Peter Coyote was on a picture round of a pub quiz I just did, which we won due to me getting that answer.

  • Just watched Water For Elephants.
Was hard to watch some scenes but I found it very engaging.
    ('it' being RPatz of course.)

    +1 to both of those!

Check out '25th Hour' which also has Norton in it, about a man facing his last day before starting a prison sentence. Directed by Spike Lee.

It is actually pretty good. Plus it gives me a chance to post my favourite celeb gag.
