Watched The Tunnel last night.
Pretty good for a free film with a low budget. Recommended. -

Secret Cinema on Sunday. Won't say what it was but in some ways the film is 'irrelevant'. Was amazing. If you can get a ticket do so and you'll have a great time(I think all the normal ones are sold out and need to book with food which is too expensive and I would think detracts from the fun).
Only downside is that I hadn't done this before eventhough I've been on their mailign list for ages so missed some brilliant films and experiences. -

Watched 'Observe and Report' last night, Seth rogan as a mall cop, was quite funny and a shot ton better than Paul Blart Mall Cop, which is possibly the worst film ever made

I finally watched 50/50 a couple of night ago. I quiet liked it, even Rogen was good in a semi serious role. Role on 'Premium Rush' and Batman - JGL has some good movies coming this year!

Premium Rush will be terrible.

Was reading that a new Terminator film is on the cards. There's a fansite with a manifesto of requirements that looks good, I echo all the comments (they basically revolve around making a film as taught and perfect as the first one, no shite comic relief and the telling of the future war they allude to throughout the series), however the director of the Fast and the Furious (?) films has signed up, so you can forget about any of that happening.

Great news coming from Hammer.
Many of their classic films are being restored for Blu-Ray, including Quatermass and the Pit, Dracula Prince of Darkness and Plague of Zombies (a personal favourite!)
Looks like more obscure titles are to be given the same treatment and a more general release than they originally received.
A must for fans of classic horror!

Just watched "Shame" with Fassbender and Mulligan. Michael Fassbender turns in a fantastic performance as a sex-addicted New Yorker. Carey Mulligan is going to be an incredible actress and I hope she'll be better than that idiot Kate "does it involve me getting my lunch out" Winslet.
It has an odd kind of plot with seemingly no explanation. The scenes (some of which are rather graphic) are beautifully shot in NYC and the soundtrack helped move proceedings along nicely.
I recommend it purely for its' oddness.

Looks like I have to go on an outing to see War Horse tomorrow at Peckham Multiplex.
Frantically trying to find reasons why I cannot go...

'cos you'll be bawling from the outset?
Reason enough to avoid it.

^ Oh yes, the running commentry is all part of the experience. As is feeling that you are sitting in someone's front room with the TV on, phone ringing, kids running round, bags of the world's noisiest junk food being scoffed. But at just £4.99, who can complain?
