sofa-jumping, megalomaniac-midget, alien worshipper
^I concede all of the above without exception BUT while he may be an alien-loving egocentric, he was pretty good in Rain Man and Vanilla Sky was all right (maybe), and his cold-killer in Collateral was a refreshing change from his previous roles.
Still count him as Knig of the Cnuts though...

The latest story in the (now guaranteed) series of Sherlock Holmes films is something of a disappointment. Guy Ritchie relies upon his signature style and Robert Downey Jnr is once again good but not great. Jude Law is his usual "trying to look pretty" self, but this is never going to be easy with a dead rat balanced under his nose. I'm having trouble remembering what he's actually been any good in...
Jared Harris, son of the late hedonist Richard, puts in a suitably sinister performance as Prof. James Moriarty. I'd say that it was entertaining enough, but it lacked the humour that the first one had.
Now we have to brace ourselves for the former Mr Madonna's version of "The Sweeney."
^ Pretty much this. However, my review would be much more concise:
"it was pretty shit"

Sixteen candles, how did I miss that movie? The shower scene....my teen years would have enjoyed it.......

Why would anyone actively choose to go and watch a film with Jude Law in AND directed by Guy Ritchie - you deserve every awful moment of that self inflicted hell on Earth

Love, Honour and Obey's pretty damn sharp (as dark, Brit-com Gangster films go) and Law is one of the main roles in that.....
Bought the fecker on doovdé actually, and would consider getting a blu-ray too. All said, Law is essentially a bit part when standing toe-to-toe with the combined acting might of Ray Winston, Rhys Ifans and Sean Pertwee..
(film reference - you probably haven't even seen it though...) -

Final Cut is darker
L,H and Obey is a comedy in comparison -

There are some really good moments in it. Some light, some pretty dark, a couple pretty damn funny. I'd give it a 6.something/10

Shane Meadows plans biopic of Notts cyclist Tom Simpson
Was in a Hospital waiting room yesterday whilst flicking through their surprisingly up-to-date mags when I read in an interview that Shane meadows also plans doing a Stone Roses documentary, which was new to me.
