Room for love - good flick very well shot! some amazing dialogue but the strongest scenes where when nothing was said. very enjoyable
Branded to kill - proper choppy suzuki cult shit, funny death scenes and twisted.. struggled to watch the end as the room was too hot and the missus was lying on me so i fell asleep.

i watched Retreat last night.
Was pretty good actually.
Only has Cillian Murphy, Thandie Newton and Jamie Bell in it (and a guy for about 2 minutes)CM and TN are a couple on a little scottish island getting away after a miscarriage.
JB washes up on the beach and tells them that a pandemic flu has ravaged the planet and that they need to seal the cottage.Shit goes down.
Has some fairly big plot holes, but you can glaze over them.
has some twists and turns, some you see coming some you dont.Well worth a viewing (IMO)

just watched 'Grave of the Fireflies', so tragic and moving. Even if you don't like anime i would recommend it

I just watched this:
Mary & Max - Official Trailer - YouTube
throughly charming with an excellent voice over by Barry Humphries, i recommend it

two questions:
firstly am i the only one who thinks anna kendrick looks like a female tom cruise?
secondly does seth rogan have it in his contract that there has to be a scene in every film he's in where he smokes weed? -

How tall would a female Tom Cruise be?
-
• #4514
she's 5'4" apparently, he's 5'7"

I love it, one of my favourite films.
Watched Fight Club again recently. There are still little bits I pick up on that I missed in the dozen or so previous viewings...

Watched this last night, enjoyed it. Tongue in cheek with some stark reminders of suburbia and its trappings/failings...

The Thing reboot - 6 outa 10.
was really hoping this was going to be good - let down by poor, half baked fx which frankly looked more convincing in the original. no kurt russell.

Watched 'Take Shelter' at the weekend.
I thought it was beautifully shot and both Michael Shannon and Jessica Chastain were excellent.

ha from an article on this
Meanwhile, Day-Lewis’s wife has promised that if he calls her “Mary Todd” one more time, she’s going to cram all four score and seven pieces of his “supper fixins” up his ass one by one.
i knew there was a joke in it, i just couldn't be bothered to think of it

If anyone fancies the challenge of trying to make it to the end of a truly eye-scrappingly bad film Mimic is on iplayer:

God that film is terrible.

I watched The Guard the other day
The Guard - Official Trailer [HD] - YouTube
I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dark humour. In Bruges style.
Worth a watch
Yeah Brick's alright. Like a Lo-Fi Noir which makes it sound awful. I like the bit where he waits for that guy to walk about 300m to hit him.
