  • I definitely recommend Man Bites Dog for a bit of dark humour.

  • Merde!! Just downloaded a non-subtitled version of 13 Tzameti. Was really looking forward to that after previous posts, that'll learn me.

  • Zombieland - crossed between the Wonder years and Night of the living dead. an hour and half of boredom eradicated and Bill Murry's awesome.

    I agree.

  • any good recommendations then?

remember watching Silent Hill and thinking glad i was not in her shoes. yes through the hands on this one.

  • said it before watch Eden Lake; edge of the seat stuff all the way through.

Watched Eden Lake last night, you are right, really gripping stuff and some great cinematography!

  • I went to see that at a cinema full of twats intensionally laughing during the scary bits, who were clearly trying to impress their shazzer girlfriends. It still stuck in my mind though. It is a good film because it builds and plays with the tension such that it's entirely unpredictable, apart from the ending. If you're unimpressed by it then you're lucky that there's so many films which adhere to a predictable formula of tension - payoff, tension - payoff etc etc.

Edit: Just found that STALKER is on youtube in it's entirety! But if there's any film that can only be appreciated at the cinema...
YouTube- Stalker (English subtitles). Part 5 of 16.

hay maybe i was a bit harsh- ending just pissed me off and at my mates build up. the film is different to the norm, watch with an open mind.

  • Now my usual stupid questions.:

Saw film a while sort of foriegn flick very funny and invloved a man falling in to a latrine and cleaning himself with a duck. South american I think. Any ideas of the title?

    maybe this one.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118843/

  • A-V-A-T-A-R in 3D!!!

    Nothing matters now......

  • maybe this one.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118843/

Nope will find out at the weekend.

  • Broken embraces. as always wonderful, left me hankering for the film in the film. all films by almodovar...these alone set Penelope out from the crowd, in all the films she has done with him, she is fucking brilliant.
Paranormal Activity was really really bad...just so unbelieveable, annoying fake american terror.
    Let the right one in...beautiful.
    Calvaire...weird but ace
4th Kind. with Milla...reasonable, better 'real' scary moments.
    District 9 is wonderful.
    Strella. Really good.
Harry Brown. damned good for an english film.

    1. fucking terrible.
pandorum. I think was ok, watched it late, remember 2/3rds of it.
Zombieland. hilarious, bill murray stealing it totally.
the invention of lying. rather weak.
      surrogates. reasonable pop corn schlock.
      women in trouble. ace.
      bronson. brilliant.
and have to agree anything by jodorowsky, brilliantly utterly mental.
  • Tonight! Have not been this excited about a film since forever.

  • Tonight! Have not been this excited about a film since forever.

its shit. not just a bit shit but really shit

  • haha!

  • I'm still well excited to see it being a Spike fanboy despite everyone banging on about what a pile of poo it is.

  • It's getting universally awful reviews.

  • suspiria - by Dario Argente

Suposed to be a really scary horro movie but its not biting me at the mo.

  • saw "the hunger" 1983 vampire movie with david bowie and a young super sexy susan sarandon on the big screen recently. very eery!

  • watched 'the hunger' for the first time in ages about a week ago, I agree it's still really good.

  • I watched festen the other day. It was brilliant, thanks for the recommendation

  • FAO any weirdo which hasn't seen Bladerunner: Tonight - BBC 2 @ 9pm
