Zombieland - crossed between the Wonder years and Night of the living dead. an hour and half of boredom eradicated and Bill Murry's awesome.

I went to see that at a cinema full of twats intensionally laughing during the scary bits, who were clearly trying to impress their shazzer girlfriends. It still stuck in my mind though. It is a good film because it builds and plays with the tension such that it's entirely unpredictable, apart from the ending. If you're unimpressed by it then you're lucky that there's so many films which adhere to a predictable formula of tension - payoff, tension - payoff etc etc.
Edit: Just found that STALKER is on youtube in it's entirety! But if there's any film that can only be appreciated at the cinema...
YouTube- Stalker (English subtitles). Part 5 of 16.
hay maybe i was a bit harsh- ending just pissed me off and at my mates build up. the film is different to the norm, watch with an open mind.

Broken embraces. as always wonderful, left me hankering for the film in the film. all films by almodovar...these alone set Penelope out from the crowd, in all the films she has done with him, she is fucking brilliant.
Paranormal Activity was really really bad...just so unbelieveable, annoying fake american terror.
Let the right one in...beautiful.
Calvaire...weird but ace
4th Kind. with Milla...reasonable, better 'real' scary moments.
District 9 is wonderful.
Strella. Really good.
Harry Brown. damned good for an english film.- fucking terrible.
pandorum. I think was ok, watched it late, remember 2/3rds of it.
Zombieland. hilarious, bill murray stealing it totally.
the invention of lying. rather weak.
surrogates. reasonable pop corn schlock.
women in trouble. ace.
bronson. brilliant.
and have to agree anything by jodorowsky, brilliantly utterly mental.
- fucking terrible.
