  • Watched Falling Down last night.

    Epic.

if he had come across a fixie soon after ditching the car, then took off riding through the traffic, learnt to skid, bumped into some messengers and got a job, copped off with a lovely Latino girl and settled down to live happily ever after it would have been better, little bit different though.
watching 'motorcycle diaries' just now, pretty good.

  • Avoids from today will edit as I watch more.

    Don't mess with the zohan.

  • Watched Falling Down last night.

    Epic.

I like the bit where the policeman says "fuck you very much" to his boss.

  • Drag me to Hell this arvo....meh

  • This is one of the darkest films I've seen - 13 Tzameti (France)
Fuck me man, I recommend it and certainly not!!

A great movie, and yes I agree, especially the acting was very dark and moody. Gripping.

  • Seems to be the same school as irreversible, ils, etc... pretty fcking violent, (but I recommend them all).

  • nop, nothing to be with Irreversible, apart from been french

  • I would say a much better school. and for sure involves some violence, but more suitable as dark movie rather than a violent one.

  • One of my faves, and it's all on youtube! this is a great scene:

  • regarding pretty fcking violent...do you know Rise of the foot soldier? have a look at that school

  • nop, nothing to be with Irreversible, apart from been french

Well yeah, I suppose. French, dark, violent as fck (psychologic and physical), grimy characters... I remember thinking a lot of times about it whilst watching 13.

  • Drag me to Hell this arvo....meh

Good when drunk. Standard Rami horror funny.
My films to watch this week are Bad Santa and Harvey. Haven't seen Harvey for years, and now Christmas is on it's way, I should really watch Bad Santa after how good everyone says it is.

I went to see that at a cinema full of twats intensionally laughing during the scary bits, who were clearly trying to impress their shazzer girlfriends. It still stuck in my mind though. It is a good film because it builds and plays with the tension such that it's entirely unpredictable, apart from the ending. If you're unimpressed by it then you're lucky that there's so many films which adhere to a predictable formula of tension - payoff, tension - payoff etc etc.

Edit: Just found that STALKER is on youtube in it's entirety! But if there's any film that can only be appreciated at the cinema...

  • I ended up watching far more of 'Elf' on C4 yesterday than I had planned when I realised Zooey Deschanel was in it......mmmmm.......Zooey.....

  • Watched Lucky Number Slevin last night.

The Lucy Liu coroner connection was a bit far fetched (although anything that gave her more screen time was welcome); nevertheless a highly watchable movie. A thinking man's The Departed but without the stoopid rat-on-the-balcony finish.

  • I rewatched Dead Snow last night.
Jesus that is a hilariously bad movie.

Swedish Nazi Zombie Horror flick. It's wonderfully tongue in cheek, lots of references to other films, just great. Crap and great.
