Great film 5th element. That the one with the people who are robots who are dying of old age?

  • Last nigh I watched n the loop. If you like the thick of it, this is a film version.

  • hah, like it

  • Anyone on Orange that isn't going to the cinema tonight? Can I have your 241 code please?

  • sorry cant help with that.

watching Fatal Attraction with douglas and close,
priceless actually, whole launch of the original bunny boiler....

  • Winterbottom has done a film of 'the Trip' with Brydon and Coogan

  • Just watched the Fifth Element again. Great film.

That's Blade Runner, The Fifth Element is the one with Milla Jovovich and Bruce Willis saving the planet from Gary Oldman and co.

  • Multipass!

    she never looked better

  • ^^ Zatoichi?

  • Watched Transformers last night. Awful. But brilliant. Worth seeing. The 3D is good too if you are into that.

  • ^ no thanks.

  • It really is worth the watch, even if for all the wrong reasons. The script, plot, acting are all laughable. But yet, still enjoyable. The effects are incredible. As my friend said "you've gotta be a bit of a dick not to like it. I.e. Mark Kermode"

  • ^ agree with the MK sentiments. the most slappable mug in christendom.

  • One of the Transformers films was on the other week, before Sunshine. Caught about the last hour of it, and it was literally impossible to tell what was going on. Crash bang wallop. Crash bang wallop. People jumping around. Far too hectic. Nearly gave me a seizure.

That sounds like Transformers 2, which was just crap. It has gone down in history as being the highest grossing crap movie ever. I really liked the first film.

Last week I watched Transformers 3, was disappoint. Thought maybe Bay might have taken on some of the criticism from the second film. But no, more of the same shit. I blame Spielberg, takes producer credits, but I'm sure he doesn't do anything, except for count the notes that come in.

Bet your mate thinks the same about Italian neorealism. Gotta be a dick not to like that.

  • Also Spike Lee has been signed up to direct the re-make of 'oldboy'

    /facepalm

Really? Is Spike Lee that bad a director? I thought DO THE RIGHT THING is a modern classic, and INSIDE MAN was pretty good too.

I re-watched The Rock last night, and I must say, it has worn well. The sound especially deserves a mention. I had it on with the volume turned up quite a bit, and on surround sound stereo. Impressive.

  • nothing wrong with spike lee, I'm sure he'll do a good job. I'm just struggling to see what a remake will do to improve upon the orignal

  • Did anyone enjoy Let Me In, more than the original Let The Right One In?

I love the original, and am wondering if I should give the absurdly rapid remake any time at all?

Most remakes aren't better than the originals, much less a remake made in such ridiculous haste. Someone please convince me that I am wrong.

  • Any one seen the Dylan Dog film?

Do you guys know who Dylan Dog is?

  • Has anyone seen Kin-Dza-Dza? Watched it last weekend (on the basis of a monster IMDB score). I've never been so confused by a film - couldn't work out if was genius, complete shite, or somewhere in between.

And definitely don't wat Let Me In, I died a little inside. If you'd not seen Let the Right One In, it might be enjoyable but as you have, don't go anywhere near it. Just like the Funny Games remake.

Cheers for that. I shall watch it online, if bored, and save my pennies for something else.
