  • I remeber seeing Red Eye in the cinema, really enjoyed it. Nothing groundbreaking, but loved how your sympathies switch from cillian in the first half, to Rachaels in the second.

Yeah I liked Red Eye as well. It's a very exact movie. Not too long, and covers the story. Doesn't waste time giving you background into the terrorists. It makes you wonder why Craven doesn't make more thrillers like these rather than horror movies. Oh, by the way I love Rachael McAdams. I'll watch anything she is in - Morning Glory was actually pretty good.

  • Watched Appaloosa the other night.. Had hoped for more but it was most unengaging. Seemed to lurch all over the place..

I got the DVD in a 3-4-20 deal ages ago still haven't opened it. Will watch it at some point.

I rate both Ed Harris and Viggo Mortenson, so I think it's got to be worth watching.

  • Coming back to Life Aquatic - Dafoe is in that as well. I just started remembering some of his scenes, so I looked on Youtube. Someone has compiled his best bits from the movie.

YouTube - The Life Aquatic Klaus moments

My favs are the second slap scene and the 'step over the line' scene.

  • Throwing this out there in case any of you want to step out from behind the computer screen

Me too.. But both were such a let down in this film.. They have done better.. And I'm sure they will do better.

This one, for me, was a dud.

  • gritty, serious and something to think about, yes...

this is the films thread - straight to video movies thread is elsewhere>>>>>>>>>>>

It is a film like it or not.

I like it because I like mythology ... It had much of the mythology I loved, in the
    movie.

Apparently stories that are supernatural in nature are not permitted because you think it is above you ... how dare I have an imagination and enjoy the stories of a civilisation that is lost to the world now.

Oh and btw it was one of the highest grossing movies of this year .. and I thoughly enjouyed it.

  • oh dear.

'i win in real life' <------ made my week that has.

Cock Off. It easy to be a clever bastard on a forum ... when I have gone to bed that day. Well done
