Hahaha, yeah, 4 lions was great... I laughed so much when the guy jumped into the field of sheep with the explosives!
There's been quite a few good films on tv recently though, revolver the other night and die hard 4 last night... although I still can't understand why the terrorists would bother hooking up the explosives to the fucking delete button!

The star of the mad 5th element or was that mila (multi pass) jovovichWithout a doubt Milla, she was utterly perfect in that film. That was the film that spawned my Milla obsession that lasted quite a few years. However Gary Oldman was utterly fantastic in it, I love his reaction here:

watched Black Swan last night.
Weird mix of some kind of von Trier-esque gratuitous wank off shots, Eyes Wide Shut what the fuck moments, and sneaky peaks of Portman's tits.
Fucking shite.
Unlike True Grit, which I saw on Saturday, which was epic levels of awesome entertainment and a sterling performance from Jeff Bridges.
Pure win.

glad youre emphatic, its the best way to be. talking shite yourself though. ^^^
just walked out of it, extraordinary, built up and up in tension and drama all the way through, what was the last film that did that so well?
alright so youre in a dream, unable to know where reality and fiction lies, but does that detract from the melodrama?
I liked it, it wasnt what I would call rock and roll cinema, like Coen brothers, (which also do it for me)
but it was an original film story, which arrested my attention and wiped the slate clean of todays experience.
well worth it, will be taking the one who never gives up when it shows again soon.
(backstory, didnt bother with 'Requiem'... when it came out, as after reading 'Last Exit...' blew my fucking head off in the best possible way and enjoying other Selby books gave the impression film wouldnt be worth it, will now check out 'Requiem' asap) -

talking shite? If you say so. Not a very in-depth account of the film but an accurate summary as far as I'm concerned.
I really didn't find it particularly engaging and the plot was just minced along to where it was inevitably going to finish-I wasn't absorbed into it at all and the characters were so limp I didn't care. Don't think it was particularly original, unlike Requiem for a Dream which was incredible and by far a better film, and as far as I'm concerned the attempt to do von Trier style scenes of horror like in Antichrist were just a bit tame-the scene where she's having a wank and looks up to see her mum almost made me burst out laughing recalling a recent meme I'd seen.
different strokes for different folks evidently.

just like chompy and chewycheeks i saw true grit on saturday. really good film, and to echo other sentiments- jeff bridges was awesome. saw it at curzon near covent garden, it cost me £12.50, fucking rip-off. quite a nice cinema, but i dont really like cinemas, i always feel like im being had at every single opportunity.
Watched *Four Lions * last night, it was everything i expect of it. I throughly enjoyed all the dark humour.
