I enjoyed it a lot. Extremely stupid but entertaining!

It’s simultaneously dumb as hell and knowingly smart, and both Cage and pedro pascal are fantastic. Really enjoyed it.

Thank you all for the suggestions, looks like I’ve got some homework to do.

The French Dispatch
Like a series of Jonathan Meades set pieces from his TV series. My first foray in to Wes Anderson. I didn't understand a lot of what was going on. But it looks great, has some wonderful shots and lots of parts are sumptious.
Did enjoy. -

Check out some Wes Anderson classics next! The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favourite films. I found The French Dispatch to be a bit style over substance in comparison. I still enjoyed it but it felt a bit overly stylised and lacking in a lot of the great, understated moments that made his earlier films so good.

Feel I've probably watched the entire film in 2m 24, but thoroughly enjoyed it. Anything set to 'White lines' adds that extra level of enjoyment.

Should have called it Pablo Eskobear

Very good. Can’t believe Isiah Whitlock didn’t say shiiiiiiiiiiiiit in the trailer

When I first watched the Royal Tenenbaums I thought it was amazing truly moving with wonderful performances and style. The second time, I found it reprehensible and just a bunch of whiny rich brats in an overly contrived and fiddly world. Then I watched it another time and loved it again.
For me my favourite is Grand Budapest Hotel…it’s got the best pacing

Watched it last night. Enjoyed it, to say he has a style would be understating it a bit.
Watched the Criterion Collection 'How they made it' quite an eye opener and good to see how they get some of the shots. Abraham says it's great working with the same ensemble, the trouble with watching films back to back is forgetting the previous characters. Stop them blending, for me anyway. -

Managed to catch The Banshees of Inisherin at the cinema yesterday. Loved it. Massive return to form for McDonagh and some superb performances.

Bottle Rocket is great as well! Rushmore and The Life Aquatic are my other favourites.

It’s also mad to think that Owen Wilson wrote Bottle Rocket, Rushmore & the Royal Tenembaums.
