Buster's Mal Heart on Netflix. Rami Malek is good at being weird. It's a bit strange and has flashbacks etc but it was one of the better films I've watched in the last few weeks.
Another vote for Soul too, Pixar at their best.

Knives out, 1917 and Parasite as well in case you've not seen them.
Always got time for the Rocky series. Rocky Balboa followed by Creed 1 and 2 would make a good days viewing.

Seen knives out, rather enjoyable.
1917, meh
Parasite, on my list, but not got round to it yet. -

Yeah there's better films on Prime but they're probably the big 3 on there atm. Not a big Amazon fan but I needed a load of dog stuff in a hurry so got a month on Prime. I've already run out of things to watch so won't bother renewing. Got a couple weeks left so would gladly take recommendations.

It's a bit hit n miss to be honest, I've taken recommendations from here, searched on Prime, if it's free I'll watch it, not paying for it, then giving them more coin to rent something.
I've watched a couple of boxests, and started others and given up, enjoyed Black Sails, quite liked Archer (cartoon/animation), started Little Fires Everywhere (should really give it another go).
Film wise, I just trawl or search for 15mins if nowt takes my fancy, I just turn it off and read a book. -

LDR: EoT done, what utter bollocks, but very enjoyable bollocks. I like that about TC, even though most of his films are crap, they're very watchable crap (if that makes any sense).

Oblivion also. Until Morgan Voice-over turns up it's half decent

They're solid entertainment.
Some of his stuff is trash though. Mission Impossible, Jack Reacher. Any of the boyscout stuff.

Until Morgan Voice-over turns up
You take that back.
Just be thankful that I have him voiceovering in my head just now.
"No, no, no, he's entitled to his own opinon. Best leave him be."
Thank you, Morgan Voice-in-my-head, I'll do just that.

1917 sure looks great, but for me the whole film is undone with its premise that generals and comissioned officers made effective decisions during the war. Its been a while since my secondary school history lessons, but I got the impression back then that the 'great war' generals were (generally speaking) incompetent and worse.
'71 gets my vote as a similar style of film.

Finish off with Peeping Tom (Powell only) and see a man kill his career.

Erin Brockovich (on Netflix)
Amazing, full of scenes that makes you laugh and bring sad/joyful tears in your eyes. Julia Roberts is absolutely incredible.
Based on true story too...

Small Foot, a kids film that really has no business being as good as it is.

I rewatched 3 Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri last night. Not as good as I remembered. Some great performances but just felt a bit flat, like a colder, more 2 dimensional attempt at a Coen Brothers film. Still worth a watch though.
I also rewatched The Royal Tenenbaums a few nights ago and loved it more than ever. I do generally like Wes Anderson but find most of his newer stuff to be a bit too twee for my taste. The Royal Tenenbaums has all the parts of a Wes Anderson film that I enjoy, a great soundtrack, great performances and just the right amount of stylisation. I can't stop thinking about the scene with the Elliott Smith song.

Ha ha, glad you enjoyed it, would definitely not categorise it as crap though! Anything with TC is probably not going to be very popular "on here"but he's made some exceptional films over the years. Yes he's made some crap but you'd struggle to find many actors with his consistency IMO. It's not easy to make big block buster movies that are genuinely entertaining. Just compare the early MI movies (dull) with the last two to see the difference between good and bad watchable crap.

Good shout, great movie. J.O.C has been in some gems that haven't gotten a lot of exposure, Starred up is a phenomenal movie.

masterpiece
Live. Die. Repeat. EoT is on Prime, thanks chaps, mindless afternoon film sorted.
Tinker Tailor.....on there too, that's this evening's viewing taken care of.
For those interested, all the Rocky's seem to be free on Prime.
