  • Birds of passage.

Yep another drug dealing movie...but not really, the addition of it being "between worlds" of the Wayuu people / the outsiders wanting drugs really does add to the story.

  • Ironically, Molly is played by Jonah Hill's real life sister.

I don't think that's giving it enough credit. I'll admit, it definitely appealed to my sense of humor, current internet pop culture references and so on included.

But yes, I thought Molly and Amy's on screen chemistry was very good and genuinely believable.

  • watched the Deadwood movie, surprisingly meh.
I loved the series but this just felt forced, and the cast were just going through the motions, with the possible exceptions of Ian McShane and Gerald McRaney.

  • Just watched this:

A lesson in cinematography. The power of camera movement.

  • I've been meaning to see this! I was away whilst the only cinema in Leeds showing it had it on though.

  • Just watched Free Solo again for the second time in a few weeks. One of the most astonishing things I've ever seen.

  • Right up until the end credits music begins, at which point it is completely ruined.

  • Climie Fisher?

  • Booksmart, great high school film and actually funny. Not the greatest or cleverest film ever made but a good example of the genre and entertaining.

  • I don't know what they were banging on about then in terms of safety & risk, he must have fallen max 1ft there.

  • Did someone decide Adam Sandler films were a bit too highbrow?

  • Something to watch this week then. Sounds horrible

  • Anyone seen “Prospect”? Never heard of it, watched it, and I can’t stop it re-appearing in my memory - really engrossing film for me.

  • Gave up my cineworld card, feel like im not even missing out now. The cinema really has become that bad.

  • Detective pikachu was obviously top.

  • Same, I had it for a couple of years and the last 3 months of each year felt like a chore to go and see something to "get my monies worth"
I've only been once this year (Endgame) and that was shit.

  • Just watched Free Solo again for the second time in a few weeks. One of the most astonishing things I've ever seen.

    Seen 'Dawn Wall'?

  • Dawn Wall was excellent, actually preferred it to Free Solo.

  • Dawn wall was excellent, but it just reinforced how utterly mental the dude in Free Solo was.

  • Like, completely bonkers

  • Thats exactly what i became and Ive had it since it started so a long time but the last 2 years ive used it less and less. Just seemed like I had got to the point where I was wasting £200 a year on fuck all.

  • There's a great climbing/mountaineering film called Meru

  • That bit in Free Solo where he wasn't sure how to do it, one way was to karate kick his way across, one was to leap (which even he said was mental) gave me cold sweats for days after seeing it

  • They’ve reproduced that move at Vauxwall East bouldering wall (with input from Honnold himself) if you want to give it a go yourself.

    (spoiler: it’s really fucking hard)
