  • Lovely. Will give it a browse (if the Mrs isn't insisting on Love Island) tonight.

    Cheers

  • Ready Player One - how is this so crap when it could be so good.

  • Tau

Christ on a bike. What a load of tosh.

  • The Purge First Purge (the 4th one, not the first one)

  • a dark song, good idea and likes how it started but didn't carry on real shame as could have been a good indi horror

  • Anyone seen Kermode's thing on BBC Four about the secrets of cinema?

  • Yep, watched the romcom episode last night. A good watch. Heists next week.

  • Bit late to the party on it, but Paddington 2 is brilliant! I don’t even have kids, would definitely watch again

  • Kermode tho...

  • Just saw Eighth Grade.

Fucking brilliant. A bit raw, but also funny.

  • Oceans 8: yeah it's not a masterpiece but fun enough to keep me and my friend entertained in the cinema. Fun characters and some witty moments.

Don't quite get the hate it gets.

Ignore the many impossible things in the plot obv.

  • Lost in London - Woody Harrleson, shot in one take and live-streamed back at the start of 2017, finally got to see it at the weekend and it’s a rollercoaster. It’s loosely autobiographical and safe to say he hasn’t led a dull life. Well worth seeking out.

  • Just watched How It Ends, was ready to turn it off after ten minutes but it actually kept my attention right to the end... Would've made a much better Cloverfield movie than that last shitfest that came out...

Forest Whitaker tho', he's still got it... Love that guy...

Also watched that William Friedkin doc on real life exorcisms, many lols...

Pulse: After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?

Off to a good start, but then it peters out. I think they were trying to do too much with the plot. Some interesting moments though, trimmed down more it would work very well.

this is awesome (from the same director) and worth a watch:

    Cure

Tired cop takes a care where people kills others, but they have no recollection of the murder. All that ties them together is they met the same man. Simple enough plot but some nailbiting scenes.

  • Watched 12 Angry Men again.

A film every Trump supporter should be made to watch, with their eyes clamped wide open

  • Mission Impossible: Fallout
    Utter shite.
And not in the usual MI bollocks, it's just dull. An ok car chase, a generic fight scene (mostly in the trailer) and too much I didn't really care about (apparently he had a wife? Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg making funnies unnecessarily)
    Don't bother.
2 hours that you feel every fucking minute of.

  • simon pegg ... enough said.

  • That's some good casting

  • the new Godzilla trailer looks neat, and i absolutely rate the first one.

    Mothra! Rodan! King Ghidora!

even the BWAAAAAM BWAAAAM DeBussy soundtrack is aces.
