watched 20 mins, looks like an annoying immitation of sans soleil. It looks good, the naration/writing just annoys me. He's trying too hard and it annoys me he thinks it's working. Annoying.

A proper film, they don't make them like that anymore. -

I liked it, it was pretty cliché but it's a rom-com (of sorts) clichés can't be avoided.
I'm seriously looking forward to Black Swan.
YouTube - BLACK SWAN - Official HD trailer
I've yet to watch a Darren Aronofsky film that I didn't love. Pi, Requiem For A Dream, The Fountain, all amazing. Just got The Wrestler there so will be watching that this evening.

Just got back from 'Somewhere' at the Curzon in Soho. Thoroughly enjoyed it. A little vague here and there. Unfortunately due to the shitty size of the screen there and my shitty eyesight, I was unable to read a couple of texts on the main characters phone when the camera pointed to them. And one or two moments where you didn't quite believe the cast.
Some hilarious moments provided from this chap:
Music was interesting. As you'd expect from a SofCop film. The score itself was, as far as I could work out, just the last 5 seconds of Love Like A Sunset Part Two by Phoenix that had been either sped up, looped, slowed down, pitched up or otherwise fiddled with to make it work. Very lovely to look at and a nice pace with lots of drawn out scenes - I loved the ice skating.
7/10
