Happy Halloween!
I'll be watching a kids movie, Paranormal is not bad in the kids "scary movies" genre
I'll wait for the scary movies until the reviews are out...last time I lost sleep was the revenge trilogy (Sympathy for Mr Vengeance/Oldboy/Sympathy for Ms Vengeance), Antichrist, Posession, Mama but alas I'm old and not easily scared anymore... :)

Might go and watch Babadook at the cinema, that's supposed to be good.
-
• #10409
Yeah, Gyllenhaal is fucking outstanding in Nightcrawler. So engrossing.

I saw Mr Turner last night, the timing worked better than Nightcrawler. It was great, Timothy Spall is amazing and though it took a while, it was much more engrossing than I expected.

I really wanna see Mr Turner... We watched Boyhood last night, well worth the 2hrs 45mins...

Currently considering watching the 2014 Godzilla. A good or bad idea?

I enjoyed it, make of that what you will...
It's a proper old skool monster movie, closer to the Japanese films than the subsequent Hollywood remakes... But still a Hollywood blockbuster... It actually made me wanna watch Pacific Rim again... Which I also enjoyed...

Saw Babadook last night and it was pretty disappointing - starts promising but never really takes off and got laughs where it tried to scare.
-
• #10415
watched Edge of Tomorrow last night, pretty good blockbuster I thought even Cruise doesn't spoilt it

Is that a Groundhog Day / Source Code type movie?

Didn't enjoy Nightcrawler - left the cinema feeling like I'd just seen an 80's B movie - was weird.

Anyone going to Interstellar this weekend?
-
• #10422
John Wick is pretty good. Keanu fits the part, good for a come back for him.
-
• #10423
There are four films at the cinema that I want to see right now. This is unprecedented in recent memory.
Anyone fancy earning some babysitting dorrahs?

I've not been to IMAX at the BFI but plan on doing it for Interstellar, is it a real mindfuck watching something for the first time?

Just make sure that you're not sitting towards the front, whatever you do. IMAX is fucking great, but if you're in the front half of the cinema you find that you can't fit the whole screen in your field of vision and you have to keep turning your head to see the whole picture. Which sucks. Sit towards the back and it's amazing.
Bubba Ho-Tep is boss.
