Well if anyone ended up with some Ergo II's in 44 mega, which don't fit, let me know.

Anyone a size 42 if I don't need em?
-

Saved a basket for later.
Need to, and know it will cost more later if I don't as my Dragons are falling to bits around the heel. But can't really afford to.

kind of cross about this actually - when I clicked through from the email this morning I found that the shoes I wanted were actually priced incorrectly on their site (compared to the email) .. I've still got the screenshots I took..

I sent them an email asking why? No reply.. come back later to find nothing in my my size but magically everything is the right price. Cocks

Keep looking as sizes pop up every so often. I wanted some 43s, but settled for 42s. But then magically a pair of 43s came up...

The Dominators were £97.49 when I went to the site.
-
• #533
I get the same prices on the site but discounted when I click through. Accidentally just bought some Sidis thanks to you, you bastard. And I was doing so well on impulse cycling purchases this month =/

• #534
what about your other shiny ones Tom?
can anyone confirm that the genius shoes are a bit more roomy than the ergos? My big toe gets a bit squeezed in my disco slippers and eventually I loose feeling in it..
-
• #535
there is an online video of a sidi rep mentioning that one is slightly larger than the other
always remember the insole they come with is about as thick as a piece of paper, so the moment you put in a decent or custom footbed, it takes up some volume as well

My Sidi situation matches my road bike situation: white Sidis do not see winter duty & my black 'hack' Sidis are about to reach the end of their (four year, almost constant use) lifespan.
I bought some replacements from sumo but they lack ratchets and a fancy sole, so now I have a suitable replacement being plucked from a warehouse somewhere. -
• #537
Not sure if I should buy road sidis or not, always use mtb ones.

• #538
tom
you need spangly summer shoes
and then black winter shoes (also because the other half refuses to be seen in public with me in the silver shoes)
this is how i roll/crash

road shoes for road riding
mtb shoes for off road or for touring (as you need to be able to get off the bike and walk around)
-
• #540
The insoles Scherrit gave me are fine in my dominators, but make the ergo's a bit too snug. Might be about the genius for me then

I do road shoes and pedals for weekend club rides, summer evening rides and events and things.
Then a pair of mtb shoes and pedals for the winter/fixed bike. These shoes are a bit more roomy for thicker socks. I can use them in the summer with thicker innersoles too.

Always Sidi though.
I'm a brand whore.

And your now spare Ergo's would be what size?
-
• #544
Well considering soon I'll only have the one audax bike not sure whether I should go for mtb (which I currently have) or move over to road shoes.
-
• #545
Judging from the comments on snugness, do Sidi's come up a bit tight in their sizing? I.e. is 46 more like a size 10 than size 11? If so, good news.

Mtb shoes such as dominators are fine for audax riding. They mean you won't fall on your face when approaching the waitress to have your brevet card signed.

Well my audax bike is used for club runs and commuting. So kind of makes sense I stick to MTB shoes I suspect.

quick, from a.n.other thread
Royles have got good deals on 2011 Sidi
I should be getting commission from Royles :)
-
• #549
spenceey
get the dragons from royles
at that price they are a steal, carbon soles transfer more power than plastic, so if you are doing a long ride they could well save you that extra bit of energy
you are getting a lot of shoe for the money (i just ordered a pair from them instead of some dominators)

I sent them an email asking why? No reply.. come back later to find nothing in my my size but magically everything is the right price. Cocks
It wasn't just you Dan, I read the email first thing this morning, maybe 7.30? Clicked through, everything was more than in the email like you said. I even added some shoes to my basket to see what happened, still the more expensive price.
I didn't mind too much as I didn't want to spend the money anyway, although it was a great offer. I bought some Assos in the Assos Tuesday thing, these offers are seriously tempting...
hehehe
