    hoh!

    what as in thundercats hoooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Hey where'd all my capitals go?

  • Heh ;)

  • I watched some thundercats as an ansi character picture last week very strange.

  • No, well maybe.

"Hoh" as in "wha.. no way!"

  • Sounds fine then, you should make it in time for bus back, easy.

  • There's always someone faster, there's always someone slower.

Well, there is for me. Maybe you are the someone slower? :P

    Prove me wrong. Ride!

  • Yes, yes you have. Now get out there and pedal b1tch! PEDAL!

  • What? I'll be in the pub at Dunwich before you reach Epping :P

Oh, I get it, you're sucking up so I tow you all the way there.. £10ea to jump on the hippy train to Dunwich.. ;-)

  • Like this: http://www.thehippy.net/gallery/displayimage.php?album=99&pos=86 (fixed link)
(Snapped soon after I arrived, a sign of good bike things to come..)

  • Not on my computer.. oh i see.. i included the search results link not the actual image link. Fixed.

  • Well the ride home: System-Ex seatpost is crap and wont let me flatten out the saddle. It's notched and either pointing down or up, not flat. Damn it!
The gearing still feels very heavy and slow.
Descending at speed feels dodgy - most likely the floppy bars thanks to the busted headset.
    Campag brakes are rubbish.
    Something is creaking.
I'd prefer to ride the Raleigh but.. fsck it. I'm riding the Soma.

  • hippy, ride the raleigh - it's nicer.

different thing - but do we need to take a map for this ride. or is it kind of just accepted that someone near the front knows where they are going?

  • You can buy em for a pound on the night.

  • nice one jimmyp - i will start saving up

  • FAQ: http://www.southwarkcyclists.org.uk/social/dunwichfaqs07.shtml

How do I follow the route?
You'll be given a route sheet at the start (suggested minimum £1 donation to help cover some costs) but the route is unsigned. This Map:** East Midlands and East Anglia Including London (OS Travel Map - Road)** covers the whole route. ISBN 978-0319230916. From around £2 plus delivery from amazon. (Southwark Cyclists will get commision if you use the use the link above.)
We'll try and put some night-light jamjar lanterns out along part of the way.
Follow the flashing red-lights ahead. That memory will linger.

I have this map. Not sure if I'll be bringing it though. Maybe.. I do tend to get lost.

  • cheers hippy, might see if i can pick that one up - i hate reading maps though, reckon on sticking with the flashing red lights. good to have back up though in case i get waylaid picking a fight with a badger or something

  • That was my plan. The last badger fight I was in left me quite disoriented.

  • It wasn't one from iraq was it?

  • i'm riding this weather permitting but with a couple of bike journos/excouriers if i can't stand the pace i'll wait until i see a group of fixed gear reprobates. making a lot of noise.

  • How very dare you!!

  • What are you riding MrSmith?

  • hippy What are you riding MrSmith?

my blue condor pista (46x17). i know some of you so will come and say hello before the start

  • is there a concensus as to when londonfgss'ers are heading off? not sure if my regular team riders are picking up the challenge this year so need to slip into a group somewhere

  • The ride leaves some time between 8-9pm Sat. We should meet and leave then.
