-
• #178
Heh ;)
-
• #179
I watched some thundercats as an ansi character picture last week very strange.
-
• #180
No, well maybe.
"Hoh" as in "wha.. no way!"
-
• #181
Sounds fine then, you should make it in time for bus back, easy.
-
• #182
There's always someone faster, there's always someone slower.
Well, there is for me. Maybe you are the someone slower? :P
Prove me wrong. Ride!
-
• #183
Yes, yes you have. Now get out there and pedal b1tch! PEDAL!
-

Well the ride home: System-Ex seatpost is crap and wont let me flatten out the saddle. It's notched and either pointing down or up, not flat. Damn it!
The gearing still feels very heavy and slow.
Descending at speed feels dodgy - most likely the floppy bars thanks to the busted headset.
Campag brakes are rubbish.
Something is creaking.
I'd prefer to ride the Raleigh but.. fsck it. I'm riding the Soma. -
• #188
hippy, ride the raleigh - it's nicer.
different thing - but do we need to take a map for this ride. or is it kind of just accepted that someone near the front knows where they are going?
-
• #189
You can buy em for a pound on the night.

FAQ: http://www.southwarkcyclists.org.uk/social/dunwichfaqs07.shtml
How do I follow the route?
You'll be given a route sheet at the start (suggested minimum £1 donation to help cover some costs) but the route is unsigned. This Map:** East Midlands and East Anglia Including London (OS Travel Map - Road)** covers the whole route. ISBN 978-0319230916. From around £2 plus delivery from amazon. (Southwark Cyclists will get commision if you use the use the link above.)
We'll try and put some night-light jamjar lanterns out along part of the way.
Follow the flashing red-lights ahead. That memory will linger.I have this map. Not sure if I'll be bringing it though. Maybe.. I do tend to get lost.
-
• #192
cheers hippy, might see if i can pick that one up - i hate reading maps though, reckon on sticking with the flashing red lights. good to have back up though in case i get waylaid picking a fight with a badger or something
-
• #193
That was my plan. The last badger fight I was in left me quite disoriented.
-
• #194
It wasn't one from iraq was it?
-
• #195
i'm riding this weather permitting but with a couple of bike journos/excouriers if i can't stand the pace i'll wait until i see a group of fixed gear reprobates. making a lot of noise.
-
• #196
How very dare you!!
-
• #197
