• hippy
TheBrick(Tommy) I am going to bring two types of food

    1. pastys (food of the kings)

How do you go transporting these? Hot/cold? Plastic container?
cold but cooked (clearly) in sandwhich bags. I am going to go to decathlon this week and pick up one of thoese bladder things that have a small rucksack on them. Sould have enough room for a couple of pasties

  • peanut butter on brown bread, people! This is the ultimate in hi-tech cycling foodz..

  • Rode the now heavily tweaked Soma in to work today. Interesting. It feels like a praying mantis as I've flipped the stem (upwards) and added spacers under it.
The extra 5 gear inches makes a substantial difference too. I'm not sure I like it but it's for the Dunwich and my legs were shagged and it's new setup so some adjusting is understandable. I guess the tweaks should mean less pain after 200k/120mi but it certainly feels odd!

Close - I'm bringing peanut butter on Soreen Malt Loaf sandwiches.

  • peanut butter / maltloaf sandwiches are the best bonkbeaters

dirtyfood tho' - something a bit wrong about it but it works..

  • just don't expect to have a shit for a few days

  • good ideas, maybe use rye bread for your sandwhiches. That suff is super dense hence you can get the same amount in a smaller space and it will not get squashed as much.

  • Peanut butter on beigels from the Beigel Bake

  • Is that the German bagel franchise? ;)

  • No. The Brick Lane Beigel Bake. Possibly the greatest food shop in London. Check out the group on facebook. This is no laughing matter.

    :D

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa

    oh, sorry. ;)

  • went there before the bridges ride, very nice..........can't believe hippy has missed a food gaff in london though................8^)

  • It's amzing. Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel £1.40 and a huge chunk of choc brownie for 60p It's what I was constantly munching on the Sounthend ride. Hippy it's right round the corner from your work, and hardly any pink shirts in Brick Lane. Though you get a few hoxtonites wandering though with asymetrical haircuts.

  • Sh1t!! The fscking power supply to my battery charger blew up!! Good fscking timing!!
Neither Malins nor the little elec shop has a 12V 3.3A power pack. Sh1t!!!

Cheers dude. I've emailed the suppliers and see what they say and I'll keep an eye out for suitable power supplies. Might make it with batts I have but not 100% sure what's charged and what's not. Let you know, yeah? Tanks!

36 bagels for less than a Tesco Chicken Bacon Club? You're lying.

  • Dude, you gotta check it out. Plus Tesco is rubbish!

  • scott not scot Is it a really bad sign for the DD if i get back fom a 20 mile ride on my geared road bike and feel like my heart is gonna jump outta my mouth?....i'm f*cked!!!..:(

Did you do the 20mi at B. Wiggan's pursuit pace? Then no, nothing to worry about.
